I stared at the door in front of me. How in the world had I let Jasper convince me to hang out with his friends again? I sighed and shifted, wincing slightly. It had taken me a while to get the man out of my bed this afternoon, and I knew that was the main reason I was here, it was an out. I lifted my hand and knocked, only waiting a few moments before the door was opened and I was ushered inside.

"I wasn't sure if you were going to show." Jasper fidgeted slightly, running his hands through his hair.

"I said I would didn't I?"

"Yea, I guess you did."

I nodded and we walked towards what I assume was the living room, but before we made it there he pulled me aside.

"Look, I know Jay didn't make the best first impression. Just don't write him off yet, okay? He's pretty cool."

"Hmm. No, he was a dick." I turned and walked into the room, leaving Jasper behind me.

As soon as I stepped into the room Jay straightened up like I had offended him by being alive. So, being the sweet person I am, I took the empty seat next to him. Jasper mouthed 'behave' to me and I stuck my tongue out at him, causing Jay to scoff.

"Don't stick your tongue out that's childish."

I turned to Jay and pouted slightly. "Yes sir."

Everyone froze. Jay slowly turned to look directly at me. "What did you jus- why did you say that?" He squinted his eyes at me.

"Calm down, geez. I was just messing with you. What's the big deal?" I looked at everyone to find them staring at me.

He shook his head and mumbled under his breath before getting up and walking out of the room.

"Jesus." I stared after him. "What's his problem?"

"Uhhh, why don't we watch TV?" The TV was put on and everyone acted like Jay hadn't just freaked out over nothing. I stared at them for moment in shock. Okay then.

When Jay finally made his way back into the living room he made sure to sit far away from me, leaving me on a three person couch by myself. I paused and looked at him before shrugging and laying down.

"Wha-" I looked up to see someone carrying me. "Jasper?"

"Not quite."

I froze. That sounded suspiciously like Jay. What the fu-

"Uh, you can put me down now. Please.-"

"I've got you. You know you're a lot nicer when you're tired."

I could practically hear the smirk in his voice.  "Put me the fuck down."

"Ah, there she is. We're here anyway." He walked into a room and laid me on the bed. He climbed in next to me and pulled me into his chest, laying my head against his neck. I lay there and close my eyes. He was so warm. I could lay here forever. My eyes snapped open when I realized what I was doing and I jumped back.

"Woah, whoa. What are you doing?"

"We decided that everyone was just going to sleep over and Jasper made me bring you in here. He said guests don't sleep on the couch. I'm not sleeping on the couch either." I could hear annoyance clear in his voice.

"Yeah, no. I'm good with the couch." He nodded and I got up and left. Only, I didn't stop in the living room. I kept going, got in my car and went home.

I felt a lot better once I was in my own bed. Except this time, I knew what the warmth of a person holding you felt like, even if it was just for a few seconds.
