"Can anyone in this class tell me what an adverb is used to describe?" Mr. Becker pointed on the whiteboard.
Tami Waller, popular class clown, raised her hand. Mr. Becker motioned for her to talk.
"A person's amazing personality." She smirked.
"No, it describes a verb-" Mr. Becker's words droned on, but I didn't care about any of that, I was too busy to staring at Tami Waller from across the room to care about my education. In case nobody has understood yet, I had a crush on Tami. Sure she was dating Jordan Tillman, absolute bonehead of a boy, but it's harmless as long as it's kept in your head. I had at least four classes with her, art was the best, I sat next to her. She may be a joker, but she had mad talent when it comes to drawing. Sometimes I don't understand why some people receive the best traits. One year later, Tami transferred to an art class a five hour drive away. Jordan was devastated, I was slowly getting over her but this was like and anvil to my burden. A few weeks later, Lewis Hayes joined the school. He was invisible to the school, a massive nerd and Fall Out Boys fan. My crush drifted to him, never really talked to him, we didn't share any interests so I missed chance by chance. After Joseph left, it was a dark time. There was enough distractions, I distanced myself from the social life of the school...
I am now officially the girl who punched innocent, old Bradley in the stomach because I was a bully who got pardoned by the Baron solely because I had questions. To sum it up, I was a terrible person and got away with it because Twinkle was my friend. The only people that believed I was innocent was Cameron, Jesse, Jerry, Twinkle, and Allen. Society functions as normal as long as people with different personalities exist with different views. Those two weeks went by, other people committed offenses but all of them weren't as memorable as mine. I was the vicious gossip of people in the base. As if that wasn't enough, the Baron's words burned in my head, I felt disgusted and lost. The worst part was Bradley, he kept coming, my silence and blame was a win for him. Cameron could only defend me when she was there, when I walked alone, his taunts only built more anger in me. The only issue about this whole thing was that bursting would only make it worse.
The night was beautiful, I had seen it a lot of times before. Sitting with the group was the only time I felt right. Bradley wouldn't come and taunt, and I had people who were there to defend my honor.
"So, I've been planning something." Jerry mumbled so that only we could hear.
"What is it?" Twinkle asked a bit too loudly.
"Silence!" Jerry hissed "Meet me in my room in five minutes."
"So what have you asked us to be here for?" Twinkle closed the door.
"Since you guys haven't seen it by now, this place is a dictatorship!" Jerry threw his hands up and walked around the room frenziedly.
"Hold on, we're under a dictator's rule right now?" Jesse gasped.
"Yes! I asked the people of the livestock section if they knew how the Baron came into power and they said he just assumed power one day!"
"I knew that a few days after we came." I crossed my arms.
"Hold up, Mr. Baron is a good guy, he's trying to help the community." Twinkle defended.
"What community? You mean the one underwater? This is a base ruled by a dictator. Wake up!" Jerry snapped his fingers in at Twinkle's face.
"We can't really be sure..." Twinkle answered.
"Yes we can! Did you see how he judged Atlantis? He didn't even ask for her perspective and he judged that there wasn't a reason she did it in particular." Jerry growled.
