Where Fault Lies; kiribaku angst (Compleated)

The Assembly and finding bakugou

The school held an assembly in honour of Eijiro Kirishima. They tried to make it light-hearted, celebrating his life sort of thing but given the circumstances it was nearly impossible. The bakusquad sat around bakugou. Which he wished they hadn't. It was hard enough alone much less with with people around him to keep up the act with and it honestly reminded bakugou of the empty hole kirishima had left. He glanced to his right and saw tears in Kaminari's eyes then right below him was mina-she was balling. Tch weak. He wanted to call them weak and unmanly and idiots, but he got reminded how bad he just wanted to mentally break down right then and there.

Bakugou suppressed his thoughts into the deep parts of his head. When he glanced up they were displaying a slideshow of pictures of him. Then the final one was a card with a quote and details describing what he was like. On the bottem it read "cause of death: unknown"

"Unknown" Just seeing it hit him in a different way.

Bullshit. ITS MY FAULT! IT WAS ALL ME! IM THE REASON HES DEAD! Bakugou could feel the tears starting to fill his eyes. Shit.

The assembly had come to an end. And bakugou stormed off as quickly as possible. The bakusquad tried to catch up but to no avail. He was to far gone.

He had went to go hide in an area below some stairs. The spot was pretty well hidden. But while in there memories started flooding his mind. He used to sit under there with kiri after lunch and just talk. Everytime kiri would make him flustered when he gave his big toothy grin and bakugou always let a smile slip.

He started to cry again but this time he didnt hold anything back. He just wanted kirishima next to in once again.

-scene change to the bakusquad-
"He wouldn't go into the batroom... he dosnt like the fact anybody could walk in at any given moment" Mina brought up. They were trying to find where bakugou had stormed off too.

"Well he's not in the classroom! We havent seen him in the halls!" Kaminari unintentionally yelled.

"Guys just stay calm! I know everything sucks right now and we feel like we are losing everybody and everything but we need to stick together to get through this" Sero tried to reson with the group since they had been fighting for a while, and it seemed to work. Everybody stopped what they were doing and apologized to one another.

"Okay, let's think" Mina spoke up

"Wait- I remember there was a few times when I was wondering around after lunch and ran into him and kirishima hidden under the stairs....maybe he went there?" Kaminari recalled

"Sounds like a strong possibility. How do we get there?"

"Uhhhhhh....well like I said I just kinda ran into them but I may be able to recall"

So they wandered around for a bit. And kaminari lead them to the stairs. They had to wind through some equipment and uncomfortably ducked under the steps.

"How did you just run I to this place?!....I dont understand you sometimes Kami" Mina questioned.

"I dont either" Kaminari replied a little too loudly.

Bakugou heard Kaminari and quickly wiped his tears. Shit I forgot dunce face knew about this place. But he knew there was nowhere to go.

(m) "Dude what are you doing in here?! We get it- kirishima died and we are all really upset about it! But that's no reason to wallow by yourself feeling awful. It's not your fault he's dead" Mina stormed in

"Fuck off! You dont understand. Now let me secluded myself like I always do." Bakugou paused

"Bakugou you always do this and I'm sick of it. We all loved kirishima and we all dont feel alive now that he is not" (m)

"You dont get it, do you?" (b)

"What were you two boyfriends or something?!" Mina was having trouble handling her emotions.

"I- w-we- why is that any of YOUR BUSINESS!"

"Mina..." Seri and Kaminari gave each other the worried look.

"Wait-....did he ever tell you?" Mina got reminded of her talks with him and started to de-escalate.

"Tell me WHAT exaclty" (b)

"He liked you...like had a crush" (m)

"THE HELL WOULD I CARE?! THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS" Bakugou yelled but inside he had a moment of relief and hurt. It hurt him to know that Eijiro thought of him in the same way that he thought of Eijiro and yet they never did anything about it. It made complete sense, they were always seen as equals and would lend each other clothes.

"Oh... sorry..." (m)

"...what did he say" (b)

"Huh?" (m)

"WHAT DID HE SAY?!" (b)

"Oh...well he would always come talk to me and one day he brought you up. I asked him if he liked you in a romantic way and he said no....then after a moment he changed his answer to yes then to 'well I dont know'. I stared at him with a smile then he interrupted me with 'is that weird?' As if it was not normal or something. I told him it wasn't and he told me he was going to talk to you about it." Mina explained.

"Whatever...he's gone now so it doesn't matter"
