 Elizabeth's Point of View

Elizabeth woke up to machines beeping and two voices talking. She was sure that she recognized one of the voices but couldn't quite put her finger on who. The other, however, was completely unfamiliar.

Everything that had happened to her yesterday rushed back to her head and she groaned. Not only because it hurt her head, but also because it meant that she wasn't home in her bed. She was still a prisoner.

She summoned enough energy to open her eyes and sit up in bed. The first thing that she noticed was that her wrists were covered in bandages. Her whole left arm was in a sling and her head was also wrapped up. She probably looked like a mummy.

The second thing she noticed was the room she was in. "This is not the sewers," she thought to herself. "This is definitely not the sewers." She was no longer in a lab, now she was in a very modern bedroom. The sheets were satin and the comforter was about as comfortable as a comforter could get. The whole left side of the room was huge windows that looked out over the city.

It was beautiful.

However, the two people standing in the middle of the room made this so much more confusing. Spiderman and Tony Stark. when they saw that Elizabeth had woken up they turned toward her and Tony Stark smiled.

"What the h-" Elizabeth was cut off by Tony Stark.

"There is no need for language Miss Elizabeth." She was about to ask how he knew her name but he continued to speak. "You were about to ask how I know your name, correct." It wasn't a question. "I know your name because I rescued you."

"Hey, that's not true Mr. Stark," Spiderman spoke. Elizabeth knew that voice, she knew it.

"What did I say, kid? Be quiet. But, he's got a point. This here Spiderman found you and brought you to me, where I fixed you up. Without me, you would have died, so I'm the one who saved you. I'm the hero."

Elizabeth wasn't sure she liked Tony Stark, he seemed to be extremely stuck up.

Tony Stark kept talking, "The only problem is that we don't know how you got down there or what was going to happen to you. We thought that you could fill us in."

"Why? What are you going to do with me?" Elizabeth said.

Tony Stark looked at Spiderman and shook his head. "We won't do anything with you but you have to tell us who did this to you."

"If I tell you what happened, will you promise to let me go back to my family?" Elizabeth was going to make sure that she was getting something out of telling these people what happened.

"We can't promise that because you could be in danger if we let you go. But we can promise that you are completely safe with us. We won't hurt you." Spiderman spoke again but this time his voice was deeper, much deeper. Where as before he sounded like a twelve year old, he now sounded like a thirty-five year old man.

"Will I have to stay here?" Elizabeth was hoping that the answer would be no.

"For the time being, yes. Its not very often that a teenage girl is attacked twice in two months." Tony Stark stared at Elizabeth, waiting for her reaction.

She didn't want to cry in front of two of the avengers. She tried to think about how fun it would be living with them. She channeled her energy into believing that she was happy. Surprisingly, it worked. She felt much better and more positive than she may have ever felt in her entire life. She couldn't help but smile like a madman.

Tony Stark looked downright confused and although Spiderman's face was covered, Elizabeth got the feeling that he felt the same way.

"Can you train me?" The words tore themselves through Elizabeth's mouth. She had no idea why she was so confident but the feeling just came over her. She also got the urge to start laughing but refrained from it the best she could. She did let lose a couple giggles though.

"Mr. Stark, is she okay," Spiderman spoke again. His voice was deep again but it was slightly quaking.

"Kid, I have no idea," Tony Stark answered.

"I'm fine," Elizabeth answered. "I'm also serious, can you train me?"

Tony Stark shifted his weight to his other foot. "Why would you need training?"

"You said so yourself that it's pretty rare to be attacked twice in the last two months, not to mention held captive. So, it's a possibility that it will happen again. I need to be ready and able to defend myself. What's the point of keeping me here if the second I step outside I'm vulnerable again." Elizabeth took a deep breath after finishing her speech.

Tony Stark took a second to think then stepped forward. "All that's true. It could also help us introduce you to the rest of the gang. I can't believe I just said that. I also can't believe I'm about to say this. Yes, we can train you."

Apparently Spiderman didn't like that answer. "What? No, she can't train. Look at her. Her left arm is severely bruised and she has a freaking concussion. She can't risk getting injured any further!" His voice had gone back to the squeaky kid voice.

Elizabeth was almost positive she knew who that voice belonged to. After all she had been dating him for a month. However, she didn't want to give away that she knew just yet. She was going to play along that she had no idea who the identity of Spiderman was.

"Yes I am hurt. But I have a feeling that I'm going to keep getting inured if I don't know how to defend myself. If I learn how to fight while I'm hurt, I can also protect myself much better when I'm healthy again. Also I have to keep going to school, there's no doubt about that. I'm going to go out in public while I'm hurt, so I need to defend myself."

"No. I-I mean we can protect you on the way to school." Peter said.

"Please, Tony Stark. I can help you all too. It can be your way of paying me back for keeping me here."

Tony thought for a moment. "First of all, we don't need to pay you back. Second of all, call me Tony, all of this Tony Stark business is getting on my nerves. Third of all, meet us in the living room in twenty minutes so that we can discuss this training schedule of yours. Take a shower and put on some clean clothes, the rest of the Avengers will be there."
