No matter what I did, the voices wouldn't come to me. My magic seemed to be altogether gone. It was just my luck that the only time I'd ever called upon my power it had refused to come. Determined to stay in the cavern until they did, I sat in silence for what felt like hours to no avail, eventually falling asleep on the damp, mossy floor.

I was in a throne room, but not the same one as my last nightmare. This one was not on fire and was decorated in Ardunian fashion. It's tall white pillars rose to a glass-domed ceiling. In the center, an intricately adorned purple throne sat. And in it was the Dark King. I tried to run towards him, rage filling me. However, I couldn't move. It seemed as if he couldn't even see me. Of course he couldn't, I had to be dreaming. I drew my stare away from him as suddenly, a beautiful dark-skinned woman stormed into the room. An obsidian crown topped her black hair. I assumed that she was the queen of Ardunia.

"What on earth do you think you're doing?" She questioned the king, purple energy swirled around her in a vortex. Whatever kind of magic this was, I had never seen it. "Get out of my fate-forsaken country before I kill you myself." She snarled.

The king gave her a feline smile, "Melaina, my darling, a deal is a deal... and I do believe you broke ours," He rose from the throne and sauntered towards her, "And do you know what that means?" He drawled.

The queen-Melaina- glared at him, but took a step back. "I never made any deal with you. The former king did before I took the life from his eyes. I am the new voice of Ardunia and I do not make deals with murders, tyrants, or psychopaths. You happen to be all three." Melaina took a step towards the king and said with a satisfied smirk, "My army will march with Kian Vienna tomorrow. You can kill me and tear this castle and country down brick by brick and that will still stand true. We will eradicate the disease that is your dynasty from Istrias."

The king took her chin in his hand, as a lover would. He gazed at her tenderly for a moment, before his features went cold, "Such soft beauty for such a sharp tongue." There was nothing but a tinge of amusement in his eyes as he snapped her neck and threw her body to the floor.

I woke to suffocating darkness all around me, feeling the warm sensation of blood trickling down my chin. I brought my fingers to my face, discovering that my nose was bleeding. This was the extent of my senses as, though my eyes were open, I could see nothing but pitch blackness. A hundred voices filled my ears, all of their words were indiscernible. I thrashed on the cold stone floor, trying to escape the trap my own magic had secured me in. My heart pounded as the words slowly started to separate.

"Battle after battle, all you do is kill." Sneered a voice that sounded a lot like Tyri's.

"You murdered your first man before you turned ten, how many can say the same?" Questioned Areis.

I covered my ears to drown them out, but the cacophony only grew stronger. "You follow a prince that will lead the whole country towards more bloodshed, but I suppose that's exactly what you want. Isn't it Zora?" Mace accused me.

"No!" I exclaimed as tears began to fall down my face. "Kian just wants peace, I just want peace." I knew it wasn't real, but I couldn't help answering.

"Does he?" Questioned Cayra smugly, "No man wearing a crown marches in the name of peace."

"You'll follow him into battle like his good little soldier, killing everyone in his way. You'll pretend to hate it, but deep down you'll know that isn't true." Vick Hallows voice echoed through my head. Blood began to pour out of my nose again and my breaths were quick and shallow.

I began to scream as the accusations grew louder and louder. Killer, murderer, selfish, warbringer. The darkness around me continued to grow more immense I couldn't remember if my eyes were open or closed. I couldn't even remember where I was.

"You are death, Zora Stone."

I screamed until the rawness of my throat no longer reminded me that I was alive and the darkness consumed me altogether.
