Chapter 16.

Skylar's POV.

I'm sitting on the couch in the living of Sasha's house watching a random show on the TV. However, the show gets interrupted for the news with this headline 'Joker escapes Belle reve'

"This just in, the joker has escaped belle reve. The police noticed this when the ambulance transporting him guided by four squad cars never reached the hospital, where many police men were stationed for his arrival."

The scene changed to show lots of police officers stationed and ready.
"Communications were  being made by the communication department in an effort to contact the four squad cars that were supposed to guide and protect the ambulance. However, the team were not able to get through. Over to you Howard." The news reporter said referring to her coworker at belle reve. The scene changes again to show a blonde haired man standing with Commissioner Gordon.

"What do you have to say about the recent events  concerning the joker." The blond man named Howard asked Commissioner Gordon as the camera moved to focus on him.

"I've got nothing to say but one thing, stay inside folks. Don't go snooping around things that don't concern ya. The police department can handle this." The camera moves again to focus on Howard.

"Brave words from our Commissioner. Back to you Helen."

"Thank you Howard and this concludes the news. Goodnight everyone and remember to stay safe." The reporter flashes a smile and the screen changes, showing the previous show i was watching. I sigh and switch the Tv off. Sasha comes in with two plates of food and sets them on the table.

"What were you watching?"

"Uh, just some random show, what are we eating?" I quickly changed the subject because i knew it would upset her if I told her the news. I'm not exactly lying anyway, i'm just not telling her the full truth.

"Mac 'n cheese." I groan in delight and take a seat at the table immediately digging in. My phone buzzes in my pocket just as i'm about to put food in my mouth. Its Tim.

Tim:Did u see the news.

Me:yh, i did.

Tim:stay in doors and be safe, bye.

Me:bye.

I pocket my phone back not sparing sasha a glance because i new should want me to tell her who I was talking to. Sasha and i finish quickly and head to our room. She had told me earlier on that her mom and dad had traveled so she didn't have to cover for me. 

"Scarlett Fox's POV. (Bet you didn't expect that.)

I'm currently latching on to the side of Lex Luther's building, or his home. My aim is to steal the red ruby diamond that he just recently bought from the museum. I place a device on the glass window and it cuts a circle through the glass. It was large enough for me to slip through and I landed on the floor with a soft thud. I turn on the laser notificator in my suit and make my way through the lasers as they move on their own to guard Lex Luther's prized possessions. Finally, I make it to the gem on a pedestal and use the device from earlier to cut through the glass. Just as I reach for the gem, the glass above me shatters and Batman and Red robin drop from the roof. I sigh in frustration as I think 'could this day get any worse' Reacting quickly, I grab the gem and knock over the pedestal. This sets off the alarm and the lasers disappear. I turn around on my heels and begin to run. I just hope I make it out of here alive.

I finally updated after a long time and I know you're angry but please bear with me. This book is a work in progress. I already know what will happen at the end but i need to think about the chapters in between. Anyway, until next time.
