Chapter 17.

Scarlett Fox's POV.
I tuck the red ruby diamond under my arm and continue running. I make my way towards the way i came in but red robin blocks my way, turning around Batman is behind me so I run towards the fire exit. Jumping down the stairs, i land on the tips of my toes at the bottom. I exit through the door across from me, bringing me to a hallway.

Tim/Red robin POV.
I follow her through the fire exit door just in time to see her jump over the railing, down about 3 flights of stairs.

'How did she do that?'

Only someone with exceptional training can pull that of with a landing like that. Batman speaks to me through my communicator(or comm, i will be using 'comm' from now on, just so you understand.)

"She's going to the roof, we'll corner her."

"Got it."

I go back the way I came which is through the fire exit door. I run towards the windows and jump through while shielding my face. I turn onto my back in the air and whip out my grappling gun, grappling my way onto the roof. I land on the roof just as she bursts through the fire exit door on the roof with Batman on her heels. She tucks the diamond into the satchel around her neck and readies her stance, putting her fists in front of her and spreading her feet.

Scarlett Fox's POV.
I ready my stance and prepare myself to fight Batman. The Batman. The one and only most terrifying masked crusader. I want to fight Batman and I'm going to lose. 'What do i have, a death wish or something?' 
I'm going to have to be really quick if i want to win.
Here goes nothing. I aim for his head with my leg but he blocks with his arm and tries to punch me. I see this coming and duck under his arm. Quickly, I aim for his head again with my leg and he catches it. I twist my body with my leg still in his hold and kick him in the head and landing on my feet as he stumbles back.

"That all you have bats?" I ask him but he doesn't say anything, as he looks behind me. 
Just then red robin comes from behind catching me of guard and punching me in the face as i fall to the ground.

"It's over Scarlett, hand over the diamond and surrender." Red robin says to me stretching out his hand.

Think, Think, Think!!!

"Okay, I'll give you the diamond, I surrender." I say as i slowly inch my hand towards the satchel resting against my waist. He lowers his stance and instead i grab a smoke grenade. His eyes widen behind the domino mask as i pull out the iron with my teeth and throw it at his feet. Smoke pours out of the whole covering my escape and i jump over the roof with the diamond safely tucked in my satchel and a winning smirk on my face.

I grapple through the open window of an old building on the unsafe part of Gotham. I walk a few steps and stop when I see a shadow hunched over a table in the middle of the table.

"Jeez Arlo, turn on the goddamn lights will ya?" I stub my foot on a table i forgot was actually there.

"F**k" I curse out loud and I hear a long loud cackle followed by a fit of coughs. The lights flicker on. I roll my eyes and walk round the table to pat his back as his body shook from the never ending coughs.

"I've told you to take care or yourself Arlo." I say with mock concern. Arlo scoffs.

"Like you care about me."

"True" I admit.

"Have a seat my dear." He say and claps his hands in front of him in a professional manner which doesn't make sense as I know Arlo is anything but professional.

"No need, I won't be here long."

"Got something for me?" He asks raising an eyebrow at me.

"You bet I do." I hand him the diamond and he grabs it from me with his greedy hands.

"What is it?" Idiot.

"It's a red ruby diamond, the one Lex Luther bought from the museum." I say impatiently.

"It's so beautiful-"

"Good, now give me my money."
I say interrupting him.

"My dear, impatient as ever." He says as he hand me a suitcase from under his desk. I open it to reveal stacks of money.

"Nice doing business with you Arlo, see you next time." I say climbing out the window.

"Bye my dear." He says with a creepy smile.
