My New Neighbor

I didn't see Jake for the remainder of the day and I was glad I didn't. I don't think I could have faced him a second time today. But at the same time I felt disappointed. I wanted to see him. Simone just dropped me off at home and was off with Caleb to God knows where to do God knows what. After watching them disappear down the road is when I realized the moving truck parked outside Mrs. Edwards' house. I guess the new owners were moving in today. I wonder what they'll be like. I hope they aren't the creepy type that you see in movies. You know, the kind that believe in aliens and stuff like that. A mustang muscles car was parked outside and a black motorcycle. Then I thought, no one creepy owned wheels like those.

Mom wasn't home yet so I started making dinner. She always told me that I was a great cook so I always made sure I cooked a proper meal for her whenever she worked late. Baked chicken, mash potatoes and green beans was on the menu tonight.

I started to play some music and hopped around the kitchen doing a crazy dance while preparing the food . It wasn't long before I was finished. I made a plate for mom and left it in the microwave like I always do before going up to my room to eat. I put my plate down on the bedside table, music still pumping in my ears. Taylor Swift's-Shake It Off started to play. I jumped on the bed and started doing my rendition of the dance. Singing along as loud as ever not caring how off key I was. I jumped off the bed to push a spoonful of mashed potatoes in my mouth before I started spinning around in circles and jumping across the room like a crazy person. I was enjoying the moment.

After I finished eating and decided to end my one man party. I stripped of my clothes and headed to the shower. I thought I'd figure out what Simone was up to and just hang out with her for a while.

Ten minutes had passed before I came out of the shower. I was the only one at home so I didn't bother to wrap myself in a towel or anything, just walked naked to my room. I took a purple panty from my drawer and a matching bra and put them on before moisturizing my skin with my favorite rose moisturizer. I walked around the room searching for my phone and that's when my eye caught the shadow of someone moving around in the room next door. From what I can remember that room belonged to Mrs. Edwards' daughter. Now it would belong to the new neighbors' daughter.

I walked closer to my window hoping to get a glimpse of her to see how old she is and how pretty she might be. Then I froze. A girl wasn't moving in next door. It was a guy! It was Jake! Jake was moving in next door! I watched as he placed a box onto the floor before his eyes unexpectedly found mine looking at him. His facial expression looked surprised and a bit confused. I wondered why.

Then I remembered that I wasn't wearing any clothes! I looked down at myself then back at him. Confused about what to do and in which direction I should go I decided to just drop to the floor out of view. Shit! Did he see me? Of course he did, I saw that he did. I crawled on my hands and knees over to my bed before standing up. Could this evening get worst?
