After breakfast Mom walked Robert out. She insisted that he stayed but he had to decline because he had to go to work.

Didn't she have work today?

I watched them tell each other goodbye on the front porch. Both of them looking like love crazed teenagers who thought the hardest thing was staying apart from each other. Kind of like Caleb and Simone.

Oh shit! Simone! I almost forgot about her.

I went to my room, throwing myself down on the bed before sending her a text.

Me: Wanna hang out today? Beach trip?

A few minutes passed before I got a response,

Simone: Sure! Girl's day?

I thought about it for a while. Simone and I hardly spent time alone together since she started dating Caleb. Most of the time it was the three of us, not that I minded. Caleb was a great guy and he was also my good friend, but today it was just going to be us girls.

Me: Definitely

I pictured Simone's expression at that moment. She's probably pouting her lips at the phone.

Simone: Okay, pick you up in half hour.

I got off my bed and went in search of something to wear. I went to my dresser and got my black two piece bikini. After considering whether to just change when I got there or just wear the bikini under whatever I was wearing, I decided to just wear it underneath. It would make things easier.

I got a grey hoodie zip-up sweater from my closet a long with my Betty Boop short shorts, which showed a considerate amount of ass. Flip-flops will do today, after all I was going to the beach, but where did I leave them?

By the time I found my flip-flop and packed what I needed in my Ed Hardy bag, Simone was already knocking at the front door.

I ran down the stairs but by the time I got there mom had already answered the door.

"Hey, Mrs Matthews. Is Shan ready?" Simone enquired.

"You guys going out today?" A confused look on her face.

"Yeah, Mom," I answered stepping up beside her and kissing her on the cheek, "We're going to the beach."

Mom nodded in realization, "Does this have anything to do with your mood this morning?" A sheepish look on her face.

I blushed bright red remembering why my mood was so good this morning, "Bye, Mom," I answered, quickly turning through the door.

"Bye, Mrs Matthews," Simone said before turning to follow me.

"Have a great day girls!" I heard my Mom shout out to us as we got into Simone's car. Simone backed out of the drive way and started on the journey to the beach.

It wasn't that crowded at the beach today like I thought it would be, but a fair amount of people were there. Simone and I picked a spot in the shade of a leaning palm tree.

I spread my big blue beach towel across the sand before kicking off my flip-flops. I undress down to my bikini and made a big cat stretch before laying down. Simone, however, had to go change. I applied my sunscreen while I waited for her.

The salty sea air was relaxing. My thoughts cleared as I laid there, resting on my elbows, my head hanging back. My relaxing was interrupted though by the buzzing of my phone.

Searching through my bag I fished out my phone to check the caller ID. I instantly started blushing as soon as I saw who was calling.

I slid my finger across the screen and place it against my ear,

"Hello?" His voice was so smooth, he sounded relaxed.

"Hey," I had the biggest smile on my face right now. Thank God he couldn't see it.

"How are you?"

"I'm okay," I answered honestly, "Just hanging out with Simone. We're having a girl's day at the beach. "

"Really?" There was a little shuffle like he was moving something.

"Yeah, we haven't really spent much time together the pass few days," which was mainly on Simone. She hardly had any time for me since she started getting along with Caleb's mom. They did almost everything together these days.

"Okay, maybe we could spend some time together later?" I pictured him blushing at the moment, pushing his hands in his pocket in a way he did when he was nervous.

"Sure."

Could my smile grow any wider?

"Okay, I'll pick you up at six? Movie?"

I nodded my head in response but then I realized he couldn't see me through the phone, "I would like that."

"Great!" He clear his throat, "I mean, I'll see you later," he was trying to sound cool but he already blew it with his first response.

"Yeah, see you later."

With that I hang up, a smile beaming across my face. The heat of blush bright red in my cheeks.

"Who were you talking to?" The sound of Simone voice caught me off guard.

Shit. What am I going to tell her?
