Alice had recently moved into a house with her 'parents', Kara and Luther. The house was modestly large and was surrounded by friendly neighbours, which included Y/N; a boy of 10 who looked around 12 due to his height. Having already helped her parents, Kara grabbed her coat and made her way to the door.

"Be safe Alice!" Kara's voice could be heard from the loft and Alice nodded,

"Yes, Mom! I will!" She smiled, exiting the house and stretching her arms. Walking along the street she spotted a boy sitting on his own by a tree, drawing while others his age played on the grass. Curious, Alice walked over and sat beside him, a warm smile on her face. Turning to face Alice, Y/N tilted his head.

"Um... Hello. Are you new here?" Alice nodded and pointed to what he was drawing,

"Yeah, I came yesterday. What are you drawing?" She asked, her eyes puppy-like as she tried to sneak a peek. Y/N giggled and showed her; it was of sunset on a hill. Alice's eyes widened in wonder and she clapped.

"This is amazing! I didn't know people could draw this well!" She complimented, her eyes bright and her voice slightly raised. Y/N blushed in embarrassment and shook his head, looking over his art. "It's alright, I'm not all that good... I'm Y/N by the way. What's your name?" He asked, realising that they didn't know what the other's name was. Y/N was quiet, so he didn't have that many friends. He hoped that Alice could be his friend.

"My name's Alice Adams!" She stated, giggling and fixing her hair. "Where did you learn to draw Y/N?" She asked, wanting to learn as well. Granted, she was an android and she could learn immediately. Y/N couldn't tell and immediately became excited, he had never taught anyone to draw, and no one had taught him, he watched his parents draw all the time.

"I watched mom and dad, they draw buildings! Do you want me to teach you, Alice?" His offer was met with nodding from Alice and he giggled. Opening up his sketchbook to an unused page, he gave his new friend the pencil.

"Thank you Y/N!" She smiled and started drawing. It took her five minutes, Y/N constantly looking every so often. It was of the pair of them holding hands, playing on swings. Alice was grinning as she handed the pencil back. It was getting particularly late and she would have to head home soon.

"It's for you, Y/N. Can we be friends?"

"Of course! See you around Alice, I should be heading home."

"Me too, see you next time, friend!"
