It took two days for anyone to figure out what had happened. Everywhere they looked, there were husks. Charred remains of what had once been the dominating species of the planet.

Those that had been turned to cats became slightly hysterical, and their powers became tightly tied to their emotions. Their powers went out of control as they struggled to wrap their minds around what happened.

The wild cats began to panic, causing their powers to go hay-wire. Because of this, the place that once held them captive was now burned to the ground.

The Scientists on the other-paw have yet to get away from the machine and the 50 foot crater it made. They're currently trying to find out how to use their new forms.

The goal is to have the two groups join. Their powers are a bit crazy right now since they're new, and the Turned aren't going to just suddenly be amazing at everything as a cat. They're going to suck at stalking, at hunting, and at fighting. They don't believe in Starclan until later, and they still have human names for now. They can change their names to warrior ones after they all meet up.

The long term goal:
To get the Turned to believe in Starclan (the kits will be able to believe this rather quickly), and the Captured are going to try and find a new territory to make a clan. It's going to take a while for them, and they're going to go through a lot of obstacles (NPCs, fights (between different animals and cats), long travel montages, and observing the differences in the world. Once they find the right territory, the Captured and Turned are going to attempt to find new cats to join a clan that they will make together. The new cats will be players. I know it's weird, but bear with me.

A better explanation for this specific type of roleplay!

Normally there's two different types of roleplays!
One is called 'open' (or at least I call it that), and normally anyone and everyone can join it and roleplay as long as they make an acceptable form.
Then there's selective roleplay with roles. Role roleplay. In those types, it's first come first serve. You get a role and you make a character based on the role you got. Once everyone takes a role no one else can join.
Now I love both these ideas, so I made my own, half n half! At first it'll just be a selective roleplay, but once we get to the goal, it'll become an open one focused on creating a new clan. (Those who don't have a role will have lesser powers to those who do have a role. I'm sorry, but first come first serve!)
