Legends Never Die (Sequel to "Awaken")

Prologue

"He's coming."

"She's not alone."

"I told you, you'd die for that."

"I don't feel so good."

"We're in the endgame now."

"I don't want to go."

"You should've gone for the head."

"It was the only way."

"I'm sorry."

Indiana shot up from her bed, breathing heavily, feeling the sweat on her forehead. She looked around. She was in her room, Peter sleeping peacefully next to her.

It was just a dream, she thought. But it wasn't. She had dreams like this before. Whenever her father, the only person she was connected to in the other world, was in trouble in some way.

She slowly jumped off the bed, grabbed her Edyth (Even Dead, You're The Hero) sunglasses and headed out the room towards the kitchen. She grabbed poured herself a cup of water and drank it down. She looked outside the window, the sun was just coming up.

"Wesley, call Vision," she whispered to her artificial intelligence as she wiped the sweat stains off her forehead with her sleeve. She hasn't heard from the others in a few days. Vision and Wanda had been moving all over Europe and the last time she checked, they were in Scotland. Natasha, Steve and Sam were on the run after what happened in Germany and Tony was having a break from being a superhero and spent most of his time with Pepper.

"He's not available, miss," Wesley said after a few seconds of silence.

"What do you mean 'not available'?" Indiana asked a bit louder this time, but took a deep breath to calm herself.

"He's disconnected from the server you made."

"Impossible," she sighed. "Dad?"

"Also not available."

Indiana closed her eyes to calm the hard throb in her head that was causing her head to badly ache. She opened her eyes and put on the sunglasses. "Edyth, show me all the latest news reports from there. Anything you can find that will explain why Vision and my dad aren't picking up.

A few pages opened up in front of her eyes. She picked the latest out of all of them and started reading them.

"No," she sobbed.
