CHAPTER FOUR
WHAT A BITCH

•••

"Where's Hyuck?"

The question made Jaemin choke on his drink (it was Coke, relax).

Mark gave the younger male a questioning look. "You okay?"

The blond nodded, trying to breathe again. He didn't have an excuse for Donghyuck and Renjun's disappearance. Thinking back, he probably should have thought of one. But he was a little occupied with thoughts of a certain girl tumbling through his mind.

Jaemin knew he would have to tell Mark the truth some day, but today didn't have to be the day. Unless Mark found out before he could come up with a believable lie. Mark would panic instantly, then mutter curses in English. Then Taeyong would find out and that would be another debacle. Yikes. Renjun and Donghyuck, what have you two done?

Maybe today had to be the day.

"Anyway, I need to find Hyuck," Mark cleared his throat, patting the younger boy's shoulder.

But Jaemin yelled as soon as the black haired male took a step away from him. "Wait, hyung!"

The male turned around with a concerned look on his face. "What is it?"

Jaemin bit his lip, contemplating on whether to tell him the news or not. It was probably for the best. Renjun and Donghyuck should have been long gone by now. But what if they weren't? They didn't want to be found again. The blond sighed and shook his head. "Nothing, never mind."

Mark gave him a strange look, but shrugged it off and continued on his way upstairs. Jaemin swallowed and his grip around the glass of Coke tightened. "Please be safe," he whispered, Renjun and Donghyuck on his mind.

•••

"Is this safe?"

Renjun stopped in his tracks, staring at his friend with a look of disbelief. "Isn't a little too late to ask dumb questions?"

Donghyuck looked over his shoulder at the boy walking behind him. "Well, I'm just asking. This place seems weird."

"Your face seems weird," the brunet commented, rolling his eyes. He shivered, tucking his hands in his jacket pockets. "But, you're right. This place is sketchy."

The neighbourhood was quiet, completely different to the bustling city of Seoul. They'd been walking all night, getting almost no rest. And they'd ended up on the outskirts of the huge city, uncertain where to go next.
