Everyone knows that there are some things that should be kept to yourself. When talking to lgbt people almost everyone seems to forget that. Here are some examples of what I've had said to me as an asexual person.
"That'll change in the future."
I don't think so.
"You're way too young to make that decision."
It's not a decision and I'm never too young to try and realize how I feel.
"You're really missing out."
Thanks for letting me know.
"It's sad you'll never feel that type of pleasure."
Do you ever think I might have other things I can do that inspire me and make me happier than anything in the world?
"It doesn't make sense to me how you don't feel sexual attraction."
Well then, I bet a lot of stuff doesn't make sense to you.
"You just haven't found the right person yet!"
So you're saying that when I meet the "right person" I'm going to feel sexual attraction after not experience it my whole life??
"Don't worry it's just a phase!"
Yes, because I'm the freaking moon!
"How will you get married??"
I never said I don't have feelings!
"Asexual? Are you like a plant?"
Do I look like I have leaves and live in soil?
"You're not even a part of the LGBTQIA+ community!"
Then tell me what the A stands for!
