Jacob swoops down to catch the bag that slipped from my fingers and begins to eat some of the delicious red glory. Hector, Jacob, and Ace were standing at the front of my door. Confused as to why in the world they are here; I try to ask these thoughts but when I open my mouth no sound comes out. I guess Jacob can read the bewildered expression I'm wearing that he speaks up, "Didn't you read the small note I left on your car?"
Note? What note? I don't remember ...Crap the note that I stuffed into my pocket in the car lot. Reflexively I move my hand to my bum to take it out but upon touching the different fabric I recall that I had changed out of my jeans. Breaking my mute period I say, "Oh that note? Yeah, No I didn't bother reading it." Although I'm silently cursing myself for not bothering to read the stupid note. "Aside from that why are you guys here?" I ask. See I can be civil at times or when I want to be.
"What why not?? That is so mean," Jacob said feigning to be hurt.
"None of you has yet to answer my question. Plus there is still half an hour left of class; why aren't you there or some other place you people usually go." Still questioning what in Hadie's name these annoying monkeys are doing here. I look at the three of them and notice that Ace is staring at me with a small smirk. Umm okay that's weird... "Sooooo???"
"Well if you had read the note you would have seen that it said that we were going to come over for the sleepover or whatever it is you girls are going to be doing," Jacob said proudly.
"Excuse me?" I said. "But how in the world were you listening to our plans?! None of you were even around at the time we were discussing it during lunch. Well I mean at least I know one of you wasn't in the lunchroom for a fact." I stop suddenly noticing that I may have just revealed that I saw Ace going at it with Queen Bee. But I mean he can't possibly know who I meant with "one of you"....right? Trying to hide the fact that I had suddenly stopped talking and give them time to process what I had just said. I quickly ask, "So how do you know?"
This time it was Hector who speaks up, "I overheard Anne and Samantha talking about the plans while they were on their way to class."
"So you were eavesdropping," I say now leaning on the side of the door-frame. "And not only did you eavesdrop you also decided that you would invite yourselves over."
"Yeah," he said while shrugging nonchalantly.
Of course they would. I roll my eyes internally. Wait how did they know where I live....
Hector and Jacob were going through my bag of chips like they were on fire. Pushing myself off the door-frame and snatching my bag back
"Hey!" both Hector and Jacob said causing them to look at me.
"First of all, these are my Hot Cheetos okay; and you never take a girls food unless you want to get hurt," I say."Secondly how do you guys even know where I live?"
Putting their hands up as if defeated Hector and Jacob laugh. "Okay okay, soo are you going to invite us in?" Jacob says hopefully.
Should I? I mean it was just going to be the girls and I; IF I do let them stay... before i could even complete my thoughts I hear music not so far away. Causing me to look up and see that Sammy's car is pulling up. I don't think they have even noticed that i'm standing outside because they are too busy laughing and singing off key to music. When they look up from collecting theirs bags located in the back seat; suddenly they stop laughing. Looking back and forth between the boys and I; they cautiously make it up to the door.
Annie asks, "What's going on?"
"Well apparently these three think it's okay to listen to others' conversations, and heard you two talking about the sleepover that they decided they wanted to join us in the fun," I answer.
"What?! What?! What do you mean they want to stay for the sleepover?" Samantha asks.
"Yeah that; we want to stay over. Come on we want to stay and be part of the fun," Jacob says making puppy dog eyes at the girls.
The girls are so surprised that they don't know how to respond to look at me as if I know what to do. To be honest I also don't know how to respond, but at the same time I begin to think that maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea that they stay. I mean we know what we are doing; plus wouldn't it be more fun with more people... oh and maybe can play jokes on the guys. Which I know for sure the girls would enjoy. Smiling brightly towards the girls hoping that they can telepathically understand what I was thinking. Thankfully I have great evil friends that they were able to see the evil glint in my eyes that both start to smile and start to walk into the house. I then turn to the three boys smiling and say, " Fine, yeah you guys can join us. But you gotta pay for the takeout and one of you has to buy me a new bag of Hot Cheetos since you ate all of mine."
Ace looked surprised that I agreed to the idea of staying over, but little do they know that the only reason I agreed was so that girls and I could have fun pulling pranks on them. Because who would expect anything to happen when around some quiet good girls.
