Osamu Dazai • SFW headcannons

•Much like Ranpo, Dazai is very clingy and also craves your affection. He loves intimacy, so if you're not giving him enough, he'll pester you all through the day. If you're busy and tell him to go away, he'll throw a dramatic fit. "Ahhhh~you're so cruel, y/n~so heartless....", he gawks as he flails his arms around, obviously embarrassing you wherever the two of you are. "I'll dieeee y/nnnnn~ you have to give me a kiss or I'm gonna dieeeeee" and with that he flops on top of you and it takes all the strength in your body not to give into his weight and collapse right there as he presses himself onto your back, craning his neck so he can attack your flushed face with smooches.

•When you're not together, Dazai sends you pictures and videos of the things he's seen throughout the day, be it something funny he saw inside of a store or a flower or cat that reminded him of you, or something as basic as the lunch he grabbed. He expects you to do the same, and he gets so ecstatic seeing a new text from you and seeing what you're up to today, it makes him feel not so alone, as if you're there with him throughout the day, considering the fact that he's constantly thinking about you and how you would react to such things that he saw without you { :( }

•Dates are MANDATORY with this man, he WILL drag you out of your home to come out and enjoy the day with him. He always chooses the place, and always keeps it a secret until you guys get there. It's always a mixture of places he takes you. Sometimes it's shopping downtown, in which he buys you literally anything you want and pampers you like a queen, or sometimes it's that big Ferris Wheel in the middle of town, where you once had to literally hold him down to stop him from throwing both you and him off at the very top (he made up for that by trying to win every stuffed plushie you wanted as soon as you got off), sometimes it's the arcade where he challenges you to every game yet subtly goes easy on you so that you have an easy win and pretends to be down about it, and sometimes it's late night karaoke where he screams his head off to songs that he barely knows the words to. Moral of it all is that he likes to take you to places where he knows you can have fun and you can both enjoy each other, as he thinks those are the moments that matter the most in the relationship, when you're both having the time of your life.

•As stated before, he's very affectionate. He loves to tease you with peppering sweet little kisses all over you when you two are in a public place, getting you flustered is one of his favorite activities. When walking around with each other, he cooes that it's necessary to hold your hand as "you're too cute to be snatched up by someone else", in reality he just wants everyone to know that this sweet little angel is his and no one else's. I'm probably never gonna write yandere headcannons but god help ANYONE who dares to look at you the wrong way when he's around. He's very protective of you, so one glare from Dazai and that poor person will catch onto the idea pretty quickly.

•Dazai can be very silly if he wants to, his humor is absurd and he'd be the type of boyfriend who'd send you memes while you're at work, he tells stupid jokes in an attempt to turn the mood around and get you smiling, says lewd stuff at inappropriate times that get you so flustered you just want to hit him, but if he knows that something is UP up, his whole demeanor changes. He holds you tightly, listening to every word you have to say and pulls everything out of his brain to think of something to say that will make you smile again. He promises to stay by your side until you're feeling better, combing his fingers through your hair gently as he murmurs words of encouragement, sympathy, everything and anything as he quietly treads through such sensitive waters. Usually you end up falling asleep in his arms in times likes this, listening to his rarely soft voice as he eggs you on, and upon noticing that you're dozing off, he decides to sleep with you right there in this exact position, so that when you wake up, the first thing you feel is dazai's embrace and his soft cheeks squished atop your head, so you feel even just a little bit better knowing that he stayed with you the whole time.

•On special occasions such as your birthday Dazai throws the biggest party for you, inviting all the ada members, your friends and family, planning every little piece of the party just for you. You're always taken aback by how he does so much for you and you can't help but cry over the fact that he just cares so much. His birthday presents include; a million kisses, a handful of presents, and an endless amount of "I love you's".
