(Author's note: the bsd fandom acts like Oguri doesn't exist and honestly? Unacceptable. He's my fav character (I love him so much 🥺) and I've yet to see anyone write for him so here's this!!! Pls stan mushitaro if you don't already he deserves it also the song kinda reminds me of him and it slaps so uhhh)

•Lowkey mean to you lol but he doesn't mean it to hurt your feelings. Mushitaro isn't quite accustomed to physical contact and intimate things as such so he kinda lashes out on you in a panic if you try to suddenly grab him or something. After realizing how it made you feel, he'd feel very bad and awkwardly try to initiate a hug of some sort that leaves you confused with how poorly it's executed but you'd find it sweet that he's trying to get out of his comfort zone to show you his love.

•Really likes it when you use honorifcs on him, (calling him mushitaro-san or oguri-sama haha), he gets taken back a bit when you say his name so respectfully but he immediately eats that shit up, it gives him a sense of power and it makes him feel like you have a very high image of him which he absolutely loves since he self proclaims himself the "king" of crime.

•Mushitaro is surprisingly very easy to embarrass. Try to grab his hand in public and he'll give you a flushed glare as to warn you (he actually despises public display of affection) but obviously he's very weak to your motives and he'll soon give into nonchalantly holding your hand as he refuses to look at your smiling face as to not revert more attention to the two of you. Give him a nice gift and he'll stutter and trip over words that spill out of his mouth because he simply doesn't know how to show gratitude to another human being. He gets the reddest when you "tease" him with nicknames like "mushi" and sometimes "moooooshy". He feels belittled when you call him such things and when he gets really frustrated with his emotions, his eyes does that swirly thing and he flashes you a puffed glare and just his expression alone sends such shivers down your spine that you immediately stop.

-literally the best listener. like ever. He will take time out of his day to sit down and listen to anything you have to say or get off your chest. (although he rarely says it), He genuinely cares about you and your problems so he WILL LISTEN TO YOU and he doesn't even mind giving you his input on things either. If you ask for his opinion on something, be it clothes or an important decision you have to make soon regarding work, he's blunt and honest about his answer but that shows that he just wants the best for you.
Also I think that if he ever finds out SOMEONE is bothering you, he will personally take care of it ;)

-I feel like he's the type of person who can read the atmosphere well/he's very observant of others and can tell the mood of a situation very quickly. He can easily tell when something is bothering you and, (after bugging you enough to tell him what's wrong), he will do anything in his power to make you happy again. Even if he has to kill someone.

-I picture him as a bit of a tsundere in relationships (platonic or romantic lol) as he does lash out a lot at people when he's feeling pressured or even embarrassed. Although he tends to steer away from public affection, he absolutely loves cuddling (alone, just the two of you, privately at home obviously). He doesn't mind being big or little spoon but he often crashes home late in the night (due to his *ahem* work) and by then you're already sleeping so he'll just slip into bed with you and wrap around you and pull you close, shoving his face into the crook of your neck and he'll just stay like that. He's never said it to you but when he holds you close he feels safe and calm and he loves the soft beating of your heart that he can feel ever so slightly against his arms that he has draped across your chest. He'll stay like that for a while, gazing vacantly at the back of your head as his mind swarms with the thoughts of what he's done today and eventually falls asleep.

-lowkey really likes playing with your hair. Sometimes he'll stare at you for a while and suddenly grab your hair and start running his fingers through it, his eyes furrowed as if he's focusing intensely on you but in complete silence. You figure it's either A. stress relief for him? Or B. He just wants an excuse to touch you. Does this a lot when y'all cuddle too. He'll hiss at you if you attempt to touch HIS hair though, he doesn't hate when you touch it but he'll go on about how you'll "mess it up" and Yada Yada Yada. Doesn't mind when you do it early in the morning or right after a shower though, cause that's when he has his hair all down and messy anyways :)

-will literally always babble on about occult related things. He would tell you something fascinating he learned, or offer to give you one of his books for you to read (in which he will practically read it for you and explain everything in it). He takes great pride in his knowledge and interests of weird ass things and will act like he's the only man ever on the planet if you show just an ounce of interest in whatever the hell he's gawking about to you.

-more of the "romantic" type of guy in the context of dates. He takes you to nice dinners or scenic type places where you two can just relax and enjoy the day together. He likes simplistic dates, where he doesn't have to do much and there's not that much moving around but it's not horribly boring. However if you offer to take him somewhere like Karoke or Movies or an arcade or something along those lines, honestly he would at first reject the idea and refuse to go. It would take a good amount of begging and bothering to get him to go to such a place, and he'd eventually give into your antics. Once you get there he'd be very sour and stubborn about the whole situation but as the day progresses on, he softenes up and actually ends up having lots and lots of fun. Just a heads up, Mushi can get very competitive at games 😈 (but also at other things too hehe)

-he rarely says it to your face, but he really truly does care so much for you, in fact you're his whole damn world. the fact that someone like you could deal with and love a criminal like him makes him so soft and he's ever grateful that you care that much about him. whenever he tells you he loves you, it's very gruff or he murmurs it out just so you can barely hear it. if you ask him to repeat what he said cause you couldn't hear, he'll glare at you for a hot second before catching you off guard with a strong,
sudden kiss. pulling away, he'll knit his brows and stare you dead in the eyes as he spits out "I said I love you, fool".

(Author's note : THIS TOOK SO LONG FOR ME TO WRITE mushitaro is such a complex character it took me actual weeks to figure out how he'd act in a relationship. This is my view on said situation and I hope that it's in character enough :) also I would like to mention ONCE AGAIN that mushi is my favorite bsd character so I rlly hope I did him justice and ALSO I hope other people will eventually start writing for him too!! let's give the boy some love y'all)
