markhyuck
Donghyuck burst through the doors of the 127 dorm, throwing his shoes towards the shoe rack, knowing that one of the hyungs will pick up after him, like they always do. He then shut the door loudly, not caring about the amount of noise he was making, since the dorm was empty and so no one would get disturbed by him.
Donghyuck strolled down the hallway, clutching tightly onto the bag he had over his shoulder and let out a loud yawn, stretching his free hand out to relax himself. He had just gotten back to the dorm from dream practice. They started earlier today, because Renjun had this bright idea that it would mean they get off earlier, although it would still be the same amount of exercise. Worst thing is that Donghyuck was not a morning person. So when he arrived at practice, he snapped at everyone, rolling his eyes continuously and making sarcastic remarks.
The members knew that he was only tired and could understand why he would be more annoyed than them, especially since he had just returned from a tour and was now doing promotions. Donghyuck managed to get through all of practice without breaking someones wrist, like last time with Jeno, and then finally got to get back home quicker than the 127 members. They were all at the SM building, running errands and recording songs.
Donghyuck entered his room, slipping out of his clothes and leaving them on the ground, next to the clothes he wore yesterday. He wasn't a dirty person, or unhygienic, but just very lazy. He would let his room get messy until someone, specifically Jaehyun, would tell him to clean up or leave.
After pulling on some sweatpants, leaving himself shirtless, since he finds it more comfortable, Donghyuck climbed onto his bed and sighed. His back touched the soft sheets and he sunk down on the mattress. The knots that had formed in his muscles finally untangled and he groaned when he realised he couldn't sleep yet. It was only 6pm, and if he took a nap now, he wouldn't be able to sleep in the night, not that he did anyways. Donghyuck still complained about the fact that Jaehyun and the other members exposed him during an interview, and now everyday before 10pm, Donghyuck's mum would call him and tell him to sleep.
Donghyuck turned in his bed picking up the phone he dropped on his table a few minutes ago, and then scrolled through his apps. He tapped on instagram and was greeted by a picture of Mark. He smiled when he saw that it was picture from the SM rookies times. A memory of the time when Donghyuck sneakily poured cheese into Mark's shoes one day, so when Mark stepped into it, he cringed for badly that he fell onto the ground, shutting his eyes tightly and letting out a whine.
Donghyuck laughed as he scrolled down and saw another picture of Mark, from their debut at 127. His weirdly coloured hair and stupid grin made Donghyuck chuckle even more. He remembers how Mark looked so sad when he saw what his hair looked like. It wasn't bad, or so all the members said to Mark, but Mark was extremely conscious about it. The fans were making fun out of him and Mark thought they most probably didn't like him anymore, since he jumped to conclusions way too quickly. Donghyuck then told Mark that he looked cute, and to get a compliment from Donghyuck, around debut time at least, was massive. When Mark heard this, the corners of his lips raised and his cheekbones became more prominent, as his front teeth showed. He let out a small giggle, which surprised the members and then turned around to brag in front of the future dream members that Donghyuck called him cute.
Nowadays, Donghyuck called everyone cute, so it wasn't a big deal anymore. Donghyuck then continued to scroll through the instagram posts, all wishing Mark on his birthday. He was quite confused when he saw so many people dying about how cute Mark is, then realised it's most probably because he follows over 200 Mark fan pages.
Donghyuck knew he should be sleeping right now, since he doesn't really get enough time to sleep, mostly because of his messed up sleep routine. But also because of the crazy practice timings and music video shootings. There's also the times when Donghyuck gets called in randomly to do some backing vocals on a song that'll be released next year.
Just then, a notification popped onto Donghyuck's screen, his eyes jumped up and he immediately tapped on it, not wasting a second. The screen turned into a bright blue colour, and Donghyuck squinted, trying to adjust to the bright light in the dark room. The small peace sign on his screen bounced a few times, before a dark screen showed up, with hearts flowing up from the right side. Donghyuck's smile widened as he saw Mark sitting with his eyes fixated on his lap, a plate full of watermelon in front of him, which he pretended to design as a cake. His smile only got bigger when Mark raised his head and looked at the screen with his big eyes, sparkling because of the lights in the room.
Donghyuck had seen multiple posts a few days ago, talking about how Mark's eyes have stars in them whenever he looks up at things. Of course it was because of the light in the room, but Donghyuck agreed with the fans, saying that Mark's eyes were that beautiful.
Mark started off the vlive, thanking all the fans for wishing him on his birthday, then spent a good 5 minutes of just staring at the comments that were flying up the screen and eating the food in front of him. Mark then picked up a piece of chicken and turned to the camera with a smirk. He then explained something about how there's a trick to eat it.
Donghyuck had heard that so many times. Every time that they ate chicken, Mark would always turn to the dreamies, ignoring the way they sighed, and start explaining the real way of eating chicken. They all found it annoying, but let Mark speak about it, because the smile he had on his face at the end of his small mission, was priceless.
Mark laughed at the end of the vlive, realising that he had only eaten and said thank you throughout the vlive. Donghyuck muttered something about how he did a better job when he did his live, but still rapidly tapped the heart on his screen, smiling as he saw them pop besides Mark's head. Mark waved at the camera, saying his last few words for the fifth time. Donghyuck suddenly remembered the live he did with Mark, and how they spent a good couple of minutes just trying to end the live. Then a memory of how Mark listened to everything Donghyuck said, not interrupting him, like always.
Out of all the members of NCT, Mark was the one who listened to everything Donghyuck said, nodding along to his words. Donghyuck didn't need to know this but, the real reason why Mark never stopped him is because he liked hearing his voice. Donghyuck was Mark's favourite vocalist, and Mark didn't do a good job hiding his favouritism. He would point at Donghyuck every time they would mention vocalists, and would just stare at him with admiration whenever he sung.
"He's such an idiot." Donghyuck laughed, seeing how big Mark's eyes were when he tried to end the live. When he finally managed to do it, Donghyuck sighed and closed his phone, looking up at the ceiling with a large smile. "An idiot I love."
