One's Cries

What's a bleeding heart if there's no blood left?
Pain, agony, misery-
That's what is present;
It's being shown in my face.

Why do you always torment me?
Nothing I do is good enough for you.
The sun shining on my sleeves-
Isn't shining in my heart!

All I do is try, try to please your ugly soul.
Your words only bring rivers in my pump-
You ask what pump I speak of?
It's the one that used to have blood instead of water.

I've never stopped-
With trying to succeed for your pleasure;
All I've gotten are comparisons, to that of my selfish kin.

We are different individuals so why?
Did I come from a different man?
Is that the reason?

So dear parent,
When will I be enough?
Do you not hear one's cries for love?
Affection is all I seek from you, although it's evident you have none for me.
