guys. i'm moving into college for the first time on wednesday (august 7th, 2019). what?! how did this even happen?????? it feels like just yesterday i was going into to my first year of high school and now i'm gonna be a college freshman!! i'm super excited, but i'm also currently freaking out hard core. i'm an introvert, so going to a new place with all new people isn't exactly the easiest or most fun thing for me to do. so yeah, i'm in panic mode right now. save me please!!

the reason that i'm moving in so early is because i have like two weeks of marching band camp. and that's another this i'm freaking out about...marching band. i've never really actually done marching band. at my high school we had concert band and pep band, but no marching band. the only marching i've done is in parades (and it was anything fancy) and then walking out onto the football field at the homecoming game, only to stand and play. my uncle liked to call us the standing band XD.

for those of you who are also incoming college freshman, how are you feeling right now? are you calm, freaking out, or a little bit of both?

despite how you're feeling, these two videos (look below) do a pretty good job of explaining what to expect in college. i have two older brothers in college, one is going into his second year and the other his fifth year. what Kirby here (in the videos) says lines up pretty well with all the advice my oldest brother has given me, so i hope it helps out!

and this one just shows you that you don't have to have everything figured out now...

well, there you have it. i'm gonna be a college student pretty soon. and i'm thrilled and utterly terrified. who's with me?? XD
