After the battle in Harrowgate stone and his men joined me, we had enough soldiers to become a significant force within the iron legion, we setup a base of operations not to far away from the black stone legion but not close enough for them to find us, Stone asked me why we didn't join the black stone legion considering that they were a larger force in Ashfeld then the iron legion and i told him about Appolyon and what they're trying to
we sat down in my quarters so we could talk in private "Stone do you know a woman by the name of Appolyon?" he looked at me across the table "can't say i do" i looked up from my glass "she is the leader of the black stone legion" Stone seemed surprised, which reminded me of myself wen i found out, "what about her?" i sighed as i remembered the day i first talked to her "when i was in the black stone legion we attacked a viking settlement but we stopped our advance and started placing samurai flags and banners, I confronted her about it and she told me that they are trying create war, you can imagine my surprise" Stone seemed shocked before he stood up from his chair "what? is this woman insane?" I thought back to the viking attack in Harrowgate "i wouldn't be surprised if that viking attack was because of her" Stone crossed his arms "something must be done about her" i nodded "i agree and i already have an idea" Stone tilted his head a bit "do tell" i stood up and walked closer to him "we need some one on the inside to give us information and we need more soldiers" Stone seemed curious "you want me to be a spy?", ever sins the battle of the abandoned castle i hated having others fighting my battles for me, "i was thinking that i should do it myself" Stone uncrossed his arms "you can't do it!" i looked confused at Stone and with a hint of anger in my voice "why wouldn't i be able to do it?" Stone gave me a serious look "your our leader we can't risk losing you" i looked at Stone, he seemed to be completely serious without a hint of sarcasm, i took a few moments to consider it "fine i'll let you do it".
After the conversation we started preparing for Stones infiltration mission, Stone was siting on a horse his armor now having a more neutral color to it "are you ready Stone?" He turned to look at me "i have all i need" i nodded "best of luck to you friend" he nodded and rode of to the black stone legion.
Stone POV
I reached a black stone strong hold, one of the black stone soldiers saw me approaching "halt! Who are you and wats you're business here?" I looked up on the wall and saw a captain "i'm Stone a mercenary and i want to join you're legion" the captain talked to a grunt "come in we're going i see what you can do", the gate opens as i stepped inside.
After i stepped in the captain told me to take a seat but i had been sitting inside the stronghold for a while now and i was starting to get annoyed "are you trying to test my patience?" i told the captain who stopped me at the gate "we told our higher ups about you, were waiting for them to arrive so we can decide what to do with you".
Finally the "higher ups" arrived, a lawbringer rode through the open gate with a warden by his side and a few other soldiers, the captain i spoke to earlier walked up to him "commander this is the man we told you about" he looked at me "what is your name mercenary?" i stood up from the bench i was sitting on and walked up to the lawbringer "i'm Stone" he jumped of the horse "well Stone let's see what you can do".
The lawbringer named Holden Cross after one of the grunts told me his name had made a ring of soldiers witch was suppose to be an arena.
Wen i got in the ring a captain was waiting for me, this will be easy, Holden was standing on a box above every one else holding his arm above him with the warden next to him "begin" said Holden as he lowered his arm.
The fight started with the captain trying a heavy right which i parried and pushed him in to the other soldiers who pushed him back to me and i followed by hitting him on top of the head with a charged heavy, you cud hear bone crack has he hit the ground dead, really? is that it? this was easier then i thought.
Holden looked at the dead captain and back to me "well done Stone but we're not done yet" he looked at the warden next to him and gestured him to go in, the warden picked up his sword and stepped in, now this is more like it.
The fight started slow with us walking around the ring staring each other down until i toke a left swing at him, he blocked it effortlessly and preformed a light combo while i was trying to get my shield up, this guy is good, i tried to hit him but he kept blocking so i fainted and managed to get a hit on him but the moment didn't last as he hit me and shoulder bashed me, i can do that to you little shit, he tried to follow up with a zone attack but i parried and shield bashed him and hit him from left to right but i cud not follow because he jumped back, and now we were back to where we started.
The fight had been going on for a while now and we were both exhausted, this warden was hard to fight he kept waiting for the right moment to strike, i tried to faint and hit him but he parried and pushed me in the face, guess he's too tired to swing his sword, he then guard broke me and tried to push me down and just as he was going to kill me Holden stepped in and stoped the fight "that's enough, i hav seen every thing i need to see" he looked down at me "Stone your in", he surprised me i thought i lost but i guess the first part of the mission is done, the warden put his hand out helping me up "get your self patched up we're leaving soon" i looked at Holden "were are we going?" Holden turned around and started walking "there has been a viking attack on an iron legion outpost, and some of the soldiers abandoned there post".
