"I've always wanted a day to myself. A day to relax, a day to sit outside, a day to do absolutely nothing. You know?" I asked, twirling my long, chocolate-brown hair. I looked next to me at Adam, my neighbor, who was laying next to me in the grass. He looked at me, smiled, and returned his gaze back to the leaves of the weeping willow tree. "Yeah, its nice isn't it." I sighed, and smiled. As I was closing my eyes, Adam broke the silence that was settled around us. "Shar?" He said quietly. My eyes still closed I asked, "Yeah?" "Do you want to... stay with me? Er.. I mean.. uh... Do you want to be- be mine?" I opened my eyes, and giggled at his cliche valentine's day invitation. "I thought you'd never ask." I blushed as his hand reached out for mine and our fingers intertwined, leaving nothing but the sounds of the willow tree and our heart beats to calm our minds.
