The time to enroll in the colleges came near , and as always a very big squabble started at Maria's home .
Her mother , yet once again fought for her daughter to get her to study further , while her father denied and the same quarrel started like the one which she had witnessed when she was just 6 years oldFlashback
Little 6 years old Maria heard the crashing of a glass from her parents room , she ran to see what it was . She looked through the little creak in the door , her mom was crying and her father was looking very angry . And there was a glass shattered on the floor .
She eavesdrop on her parents ." Make her stay at home and teach her how to cook , and other chores " ,
" but she is a little girl Ahmed , she should get to go out and study , please she is our daugh... "
" No she isn't , atleast not mine , she is a nuisance " , " girls can do nothing , they should stay at home and work " her father roared in anger .
" Don't say that , she is a little baby " , her mother sighed , her face full of tears , " okay listen , we will just let her study till the tenth grade , then whatever you will say , please just till tenth "
Maria didn't want to hear any further ,what her father called her was enough for the tears to run down her cheeks .That day she cried a lot , not because she might be banned from going to school but because little Maria was now sure that her father didn't love her because he thinks that she might not be able to do anything .
The next morning she was again going to school , but before she left , she promised God that she will do really good in her school to make her father proud and love her once again.
