NOT TODAY ALPHA!

CALIFORNIA!

As I got off that long plane ride to California, I stretched my arms upward and yawned! I was so glad to be off that plane, I'm even more excited I got 7 whole days in California and to spend it with Juliet was even better! "Juliet!" I yelled and ran to her hugging her for dear life, to help you understand the need for this hug is because Juliet was not able to catch the same flight to California with me, her flight was about an hour ahead of mine, so yea I was on a plane full of strangers by myself with no-one to talk to. So with that being said, that means she had a whole hour to sit at the airport waiting for me. I actually expected her to already be tipsy being that the alcohol here was in the airport as well. "Daisy we were only apart for an hour, we still live together!" she laughed into the hug not letting go as well. "I know but I was all alone sitting next to someone that had bad breath, and why didn't you remind me about the ear-popping thing when the plane gets into the air! My ears hurt so bad!" I exclaimed as we went to gather our luggage and head to the hotel that will be housing us for our duration here in California. "Oh, crap I completely forgot to remind you, I'm so sorry! Here you want a chocolate chip cookie from subway!? No! how about a Raspberry cheesecake cookie from "Subway" I know you love those more than you love Chocolate chip!" She's trying to win me back with cookies and its working! "OH, YOU KNOW ME SO WELL!" I take the cookie from Juliet and savor the flavor of the cookie. 

"Juliet you know this cookie isn't going to fill me up right?!" I say to her while chewing the last piece of cookie. "I know Daisy that's why when we get to the hotel were gonna order a pizza!" She tells me all excited to be staying in a hotel. We walked to the garage with the sign that said uber/lyft pick up and waited for our lyft. As we waited we talked about the many things we would be doing while we are here. From going to the beach to sunbathe and swim to eating at a fancy restaurant or going to a club and whatnot. Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn to meet the person. Who I saw took me by surprise, the woman that had sat next to me on the plane and had mini conversations with standing in front of me holding what looks like my wallet! "Oh my god! How did I not know I didn't have that! Thank you miss for returning my wallet I really appreciate it Ms.....?" She shakes her head and said, "no ms is needed my name is Nancy and your very welcomed, I hope you have a wonderful time in California, enjoy your stay." Nancy said while walking. I was so grateful I couldn't keep the smile off my face. Juliet waved in my face to tell me the uber was here and that she was happy I got my wallet back as well.

 We hoped in the uber and were headed to the hotel, as we talked about nothing the whole way I saw smoke coming from a building that was coming into our view, as we got closer I saw that it was the hotel we were supposed to stay in for our whole week in California. I started to panic as I looked at Juliet to see the same panic expression on her face as well. We told the uber to that it was OK to leave after we got our luggage and walked to the front of the building, a gentleman wearing a bellhop uniform talking to a firefighter greeted us, "Hello ladies how many I help you?" He said with a nice smile on his face. "We had a reservation with this hotel, what happened?" I asked as I shook his had. "We had a gas leak in the kitchen, I apologize for the inconvenience let me get the manager for you." He said running off to the left to get his manager. the bellhop had managed to locate a manager or that's who I thought he managed to retrieve. The gentleman that approached me and Juliet did not have an aura of a regular employee of this business establishment. No, he seems as though he was the one in power as if he owned the business and just so happened to meet him at an inconvenient time. There in front of me stood a very tall handsome nicely tanned 6'7, or so I would think I'm short and he would literally need to bend over just to make eye contact with me, I need to look up almost looking at the risen sun just to see his face. this was unbelievable, how can a human be this tall! I did a side glace to Juliet to see her with yet again the same exact facial expression as mine. 

"Hello, my name is Mr. Boyd and I'm the owner of this establishment, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, how may I help you?" he said while holding his hand out for me to shake. I hesitated to take this god-like hand, it didn't help that he was staring at me with his big deep green eyes that were inviting me in. I placed my hand in his and immediately I felt something like an electrical current run through my hands to my whole body almost like a whole shock experience to my soul. composing myself I introduced my self, "Hello Mr. Boyd, my name is Daisy Porter, and I'm actually one of your customers. may I ask what happened and if we will be accommodated for our stay here?" I asked in the most professional way possible. What Mr. Boyd said next shocked me to the core!
