Reece and Diamond (Night Chronicles)

MEMORIES COME BACK

When we get back to Berk, I jump off Diamond, and run off to see Valka.

Hiccup runs with Toothless to go make a new tail. When I get inside the house, I see Valka cooking a lunch for me, and the others, for after dragon racing. "Valka, I need to talk to you" I say with great weariness. She comes over and sits down on the table. She gestures for me to sit down too.

"What is wrong, Reece?" She asks, in a small tone of voice, sipping her cup of tea.

"We saw Drago. And that isn't all. He called me the 'Watcher Of The Death Of Stoick The Vast'. Do you have any idea what that means? I didn't see Stoick get killed, I only heard of it!" I yell.

"Reece, there is something I need to tell you. You have seen Stoick get killed-"

" no I haven't, I was no where near him when he got killed, I was captured by Drago!"

"You didn't let me finish, Reece! You did see him get killed, but I had to erase your memory, and replace it!" I was silent. I saw Stoick get killed, then she erased my memory, and replaced it with a new one. Its all coming back to me, now. Hiccup standing in the snow, Toothless recharging for a plasma blast, and Stoick running towards Hiccup. Toothless is aiming at... Hiccup! No, this couldn't have happened. Hiccup is still alive. He never died. But, as Toothless recharges more, Stoick gets closer, and closer, and

BOOM!

Tears run down my face. "Why did you erase my memory?" But I don't let her answer. I run out of the house, and I jump onto diamond. "Come on, Diamond, we are going on a little flight" I say to her. And we leave. When we are far away, I sense some bad things. My mind wizzes away, and, screaming, I fall of Diamond. "AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!" I scream, as I fall down, down, down. Diamond swoops down to catch me, but it might be to late. She does catch me, and takes me to the one place I feel comfortable...

The Dragon Sanctuary.

My mind clears, and I fall asleep.

In my dream, I see Hiccup pulling ice off something. It was Stoick. Drago was walking away. Gobber, Valka, and all the others arrived. Toothless comes over, and puts his nose, under Stoick's cold, dead hand. But Hiccup screams and pushes him away. "No, stay away from him!" Hiccup screams, and Toothless flinches "Go on! GET OUT OF HERE!"

"Its not his fault, you know that" Valka tries to calm him down. Toothless has run away, and got controlled by the alpha again. So have everyone else's dragons. They all fly away from the ground, but Toothless. Drago sees Toothless, and pulls him to the ground, hopping on him, and triggering the wire, to open up Toothless's tail. "No, Toothless!" Hiccup yells out. But it is no use. Toothless flies away.
