Maizy POV

I groaned as I looked at the schedule I had received in the mail. Today was my first day of school at McKinley High. This would be my third year attending the huge school in Waywood, California.  I skimmed over my schedule as I sat down at a bench under the trees in the corner of the school.

First period was History with Mrs. Eaton, second was Math with Mrs. Huller, third was AP English with Mrs. Detly, fourth was P.E. with hairy Mr. Cypher, fifth was science with Mr. Healy, and sixth was study hall with Mr. Tully. Yes! Study hall would be a breeze, and having it sixth period was even better because it was super easy to skip.

Science, English, and Study Hall seemed okay. The other classes.... Bleh. Oh well. I'd have to check with everyone else to see what they got. Speaking of which, where the heck were they?

I scanned the school courtyard, ignoring all the people hugging and greeting each other.

Finally I spotted them. I grinned as my friends all happened to turn and glance at me. When our eyes all met, we grinned and started running towards each other. I laughed inside my head at what we must've looked like to all the other students. Probably freaks, which is what we were after all.

I crashed into several people at once, tripping and falling on the cement ground. I burst out laughing, imagining the three other forms on the ground with me. When I finally looked up however, I saw that Hayden, Spencer, and  Lydia were still standing, and frowning down at me.

I scowled. Why was I always the only one that ended up on the ground?
