Smoking:

the act of inhaling and exhaling the fumes of burning plant material.

Addiction:

the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance or activity.

Why is smoking addictive?:

Nicotine alters the balance of two chemicals called, dopamine and noradrenaline in your brain. When nacotine changes the levels of these chemicals, your mood and concentration levels change. The more you smoke, the more your brain becomes used to nacotine. This means you have to smoke more to get the same effect.

How to quit smoking?:

Plan to Quit.
Stay Positive.
See yourself as a Nonsmoker.
Consider Nicotine replacement                  therapy.
Get support for quitting Smoking.
