Chapter 1

Jade's POV

It was a week to "freedom!" finally, my mum is still so scared because she thinks I wouldn't be able to look after my self when I'm alone in school. I've tried to explain to her but she's not listening. she tried talking to dad into changing his mind but to my surprise he just wouldn't have it but I was actually really happy that I was finally going be without supervision from my parents.

My mum and I went shopping for new clothes, deodorants, undies, shoes, hoodies, etc. She bought so much stationeries, food stuffs and she got me a new laptop and a phone "yippee! ".

My mum started packing my bags two days to "freedom!". I'm so excited because I got So much attention from my parents,they didn't go to work for a whole week, wow, my mum cooked so much for me like they wanted to fatten me up for sending me away which in my mum's opinion, was a bad idea.

Sunday 13th September

I was so excited I woke up very early and brushed my teeth, got dressed in a sky blue ripped jeans, a white T-shirt with blue strips then an adidas sneaker.

I walked into my parent's room and they were still asleep, then I realized it was still really early. I left them and went to the kitchen to prepare something for us to eat. As the last meal I'll be preparing and also eating with them till winter break, I think.

When they finally woke up from sleep about 15 minutes later, mum decided to come cook something we were going to eat but I already cooked it because you know I woke up early. Dad came out all dressed up in a casual Jean and shirt.
"Hey"

"good morning Dad, how was your night?"

"It was good Jade, how you doing now? Are you novice cos of the new environment?"

I'm fine,dad, I'll adjust."

Dad was going to say something else before mum brought out the dishes "Jade, you have to eat a lot, okay?"

"Okay mum,I will"

"I need to go get dressed, be right back"

"K mum"

I wolfed down my meal, washed off my plate and rolled my trunk down the stairs, into the car then decided to wait for them in the car.

After about 5minutes to 10 minutes of waiting for them in the car,they decided to show up

"Eager much?"

"Yeah Dad, I'm so novice"

" No kiddo, don't be,its just few hundred people your age" he said smirking. My dad is such a jokester.

"Geez, Thanks Dad, you are so comforting" I said sarcastically.

Dad chuckled "it'll all be fine" dad said getting into the driver's seat. Mom got out of the door and locked up before getting into the front seat of the car

"Hey baby, you sure you want to do this? Cos if you don't-"

"Mum, I want to, okay?, I'm just novice. I'll be fine mum"

"Just saying" mum said.

I kept looking out the window while the cool air whipped my face. Outside of my home felt good.

The tree, the houses, ponds, people jogging or walking their dogs, it was so overwhelmingly beautiful.

We stopped for gas and also to use a bathroom. In about an hour and half, we were entering the school gate.
