The Monkey and The Elephant

In a vast savannah there lived two best friends. The Elephant and the Monkey, they grew up together and loved each other dearly. They were such a weird pair, the animals said as they never seen something like it before.

One day, the two friends decided to take a drink in a big river. Suddenly, a Crane swoop down the water and interrupted them.

"Such a weird pair!" The Crane exclaimed, looking at them with a curious look on her face

"Why is that so?" The Elephant asked, he stops drinking and looks back at Crane.

"Well you see Elephant, that Monkey of yours is so much weaker than you. And besides, don't you think a big, strong Elephant like you deserves to be with his rightful race?" The Crane boasted, she then interrupts the Monkey and pisses him off.

"Why are you like that Crane?" The Monkey joins in the conversation, clenching his fists as he takes a deep breath. As they were enemies, they had a rough past with each other.

The Elephant confronted the crane and said "A good friendship doesn't just depend on race and color. It has to found with love and acceptance for each being. As well as love and respect."

The Crane stayed silent, she looks at the two as she had nothing to defend.

"Monkey and I may be different but our hearts and attitude understands each other very well." The Elephant adds in, he looks at his best friend and gives him a big smile.

The Crane felt so embarrassed with her attitude towards the Elephant and the Monkey, she then realizes the true meaning of friendship as shown by the Elephant and the Monkey.

Friendship can be diverse and wonderful. It never matters what's on the outside but the inside of the being itself.
