I woke up at around 1 the following day. Before Akari again, but we weren't completely entangled with one another so I could get up without disturbing her.

I headed into my kitchen to make some tea. I grabbed the kettle and turned around to see Yuuki leaning against my sink with his arms folded; I nearly threw the kettle at him.

"What are you doing here? I don't remember giving you a key!"
"You didn't. But you did leave one of your spares at the restaurant yesterday," I snatched the key from his hand as he dangled it in front of me.
"You could've just pushed it through the letter box you dick," I said shoving him out of my way so I could fill my kettle up,
"Do you kiss mum with that mouth?" I glared at him,
"And, yeah but I wanted to know if my little brother was actually with the girl he brought to dinner yesterday,"
"What? Have you ever heard of texting? Or just calling?"
"Of course, but that's nowhere near as much fun as coming into your flat and scaring you half to death,"
"Oh, shut the fuck up Yuuki," I slammed the kettle down on its heater thing and was just about to throw a punch at my stupid brother,

"What are you guys doing that's making you shout so much?" Akari asked as she lingered in the doorway rubbing her eyes,
"Sorry, Yuuki was just being nosy," I shot him a glare,
"How did he even get in?" She asked as she opened a cupboard and found the mugs,
"I left one of my spare keys at the restaurant yesterday and he couldn't be normal and post it through the letter box," He grinned at me. Akari turned and looked at him,
"Bro, I was a big fan of your show with Tsukasa, but this is really weird." His grin fell and a sly smirk plastered itself across my face.

"Fine. I'll go. Akari, it was a pleasure. Reo, go fuck yourself. Bye" He walked out and closed the front door behind him.
"I really liked him before he did that," Akari said, looking through my cupboards to find the tea bags,
"You've only seen that, though." She chuckled,
"I get why you don't like him," She smiled at me, which made me smile.

Later on I'd dropped Akari off at her flat and headed to work. I'd taken two weeks leave to help my friend with his wedding, including a few days for recovery, and it was just my luck that it'd come to an end.

I worked in forensic sciences. My partner had completed the three cases we were supposed to work together on, but he didn't really like me. I didn't really like him either so it didn't matter much.

I was briefed on what'd happened and all that boring stuff and I slowly managed to leave to continue with one of the cases my partner had made a start on.

"What did you do to my desk?" I asked my partner; he'd rearranged everything.
"I cleaned it. I couldn't find anything on there so I made it tidier." He said without turning around.
"What could you possibly want from my desk that isn't already on yours?" I looked through all the little glass bottles in a failing attempt to find the one I needed.

"Where the fuck is the iodine?" He strode over to me and stood behind me, holding the little bottle of iodine over my shoulder.
"What happened to yours?" I snatched it out of his hand, turned and glared at him.
"Ran out," He replied smugly,
"What about the bottle in the supply cupboard?"
"Empty,"
"The new bottles that I ordered before I left two weeks ago?"
"You ordered more?"
"God I hate you,"

I went and conducted my iodine experiments without any disturbance from the idiot I have to share a lab with. Don't get me wrong, I love my job but I'd love it so much more if I didn't have to do it with him.

I went to log the data on the documents on my work laptop that I left in the lab.
"Did you touch my laptop?" I called out to the dumbass I worked with. I could log on but I couldn't access the files.
"No? Why?" He sauntered over only somewhat concerned.
"I can't get to the data. The password hasn't changed has it?"
"No. It should let you in," He wandered over to his computer and logged in.
"What? It's not letting me in either! They would've told us if the password had changed, right?"
