A/N: Just before we get onto this chapter I just wanna apologise for the chapter names. In the time of writing these chapters I legitimately had no idea what to call them. At this moment I know I could do something simple like numbering them but I don't exactly do simple. The chapters shall continue being called daft things and nothing will change that :)

I woke up in a room that looked like a hospital room but obviously wasn't. I felt a warmth on one of my hands and on the side of one of my legs; I tilted my aching head so I could see what it was and saw a sleeping Akari tightly grasping one of my hands and resting her head by my thigh.

I smiled to myself as I watched her for a moment. Serenity filling the atmosphere.

I gently rubbed my thumb against the hand that held mine and continued watching as she came back to the world.
"Reo? Are you awake? Are you okay?" She babbled as she rubbed her eyes with her free hand.
"Yes, I'm awake, I'm okay," She looked up at me as I carefully sat myself up.
"Be careful, I don't know what happened to you," She lunged up at me and cupped my cheek after doing it to her first.
"Akari, I'm fine; just, tell me what happened in the lab,"

She moved her chair closer and leant on the bed next to me, still tightly holding my hand.
"Well we watched that video message on your laptop and then you sat on your desk and started zoning out. At one point I held your head up to look at you and you held onto me; then I hugged you and told your lab partner to get help just before you blacked out in my arms,"

I could feel her eyes on me as I thought over what she told me.

"You know, I remember you shouting at the idiot to get help; and I think I remember something you said afterwards too," She smiled at the fact that I didn't have any memory loss, but that smile faded and a blush painted her cheeks when she realised what I could potentially be talking about.

"And uh, and what might that be?" She asked trying to compose herself,

I chuckled and gave her a sly smile as she continued to get more flustered.
"I think you might already know,"
"Yeah but I just wanna make sure," her grip on my hand became a lot looser, and she pulled a little on her collar. She became so flustered that she started taking deep breaths and fanning herself,
"Hey, hey it's alright;"
"Is it? Really? I don't think so-"
"Akari, look at me-,"
"I don't think that would be a good idea right now-"
"Akari!"

She stopped fussing and looked up at me, her breathing endlessly uneven.

"It's okay; I, I feel the same way,"
"...You, you think you-"
"I know I do,"
She paused and stared at me like I'd gone mad.

"Are, are you sure?" I chuckled at her response and was happy to see her smiling back at me.
"If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't be telling you,"

She leapt out of her seat and threw her arms around me, all while being careful not to inflict any pain in my current state.

"I...I love you Reo,"

"I love you too Akari," My reciprocation was somewhat muffled as she'd buried my face into her neck.

She yanked my head away from her nape and pulled me in for the most forceful yet loving kiss of my life.

This was greeted with an "awwwh" from both of the nurses that came to check in on me.

I was discharged from the 'hospital' a few hours later. Akari insisted on taking me to the coffee shop that we met up at that time.
"Hot chocolates on me!" She said, pulling at my arm,
"What about tea?"
"Teas on me then!" I chuckled at her enthusiasm and hugged her close.
