Trapped in twilight

Chapter 3

I woke up and did my morning routine. The only thing different was that I curled my hair today. I felt taller, well that was only because the heels I was wearing. I headed downstairs to see Charlie was already gone and I got a text from Angela.

From Angela: hey wanna come dress shopping with me and Jess after school?

To Angela: sure

I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

The day went by quickly and uneventful. Angela and Jess stopped by my house so that I could drop off my truck. We were currently in the dress shop, shopping for prom which doesn't happen for a few months so yay early planning.

"Uh guys I'm gonna go check out that book store we passed by before." they both said ok and I walked out.

I looked at the bookstore and changed my mind. I started walking back and heard footsteps behind me. I started walking a little faster and I almost ran into the wall that meant this was a dead end. I heard a car drive up to the entry way of the alley. Edward stepped out of the car.

"Get in!"

"Don't have to ask me twice." I ran towards the car and put on my seatbelt. Edward joined me in the car.

"How'd you fine me?" I asked after a bit of silence.

"I was in town an-"

"You were following me weren't you?"

"Not exactly." he stated. We pulled up to the restaurant and I saw Angela and Jessica.

"Jess, Angela hey sorry I uh.." Edward stepped in.

"We started talking and time well flew by." Angela stared wide eyed at the situation in front of her.

"That's perfectly fine I'm do you mind giving Kat a ride home?"

"Not at all."

"Okay great by Kat."

"Alright let's get you something to eat."

"I'm not hungry." I lied.

"Your lying."

"How can you tell?"

"I can tell what people are thinking."

"Wow uh freaky..."

"Except you." thank God.

"Why?"

"Well I'm not exactly 'normal'."

"Are you Batman?"

"Uh no." by this point we were sitting at a table in the corner of the restaurant.

"Witch?"

"Nope. Guess again."

"Uh werewolf!"

"Absolutely not."

"Ugh I guess the only thing left is Vampire." I said in a bored voice.

"Well I don't sleep in coffins or anything like the ones from the myths but yes."

"Yay I win!"

"You win what?" he asked.

"The 'Guess what Edward is' game. Duh."

"Oh." we talked for a little bit me asking questions about him. After a while he paid for the food, which I didn't want him to pay since he didn't even eat, and started driving back to my house.

We pulled up to my house and I saw the lights still on, I realized that I was home earlier than I planned.

"Uh bye I guess."

"Sleep well Kat." I stepped out the car successfully without embarrassing myself, until I tripped and almost fell. I heard Edward laughing from behind me.

"No laughing aloud." I yelled at him, at that he kept laughing. I walked inside and saw my dad half asleep on the couch. I started walking upstairs.

"Kat!"

"Uh yeah dad?"

"Sleep tight kiddo."

"Got it." I went into my room and changed into a t-shirt and sweatpants, and started on my biology work which I was guessing on.

I saw a shadow in the corner of my room, I looked up.

"Edward!?"

"Don't seem to happy to see me."

"No you just scared my how'd you get in here?"

"The window."

"Interesting, can you help me with the biology?"

"It's Friday can't you do it tomorrow?"

"Yeah but well you know what I'll just do it tomorrow." I said while putting my book in my bag. Edward sat next to me on the bed and I kept reading from where I left off in Romeo and Juliet. I saw Edward staring at me from the corner of my eye.

"May I help you?" I asked sarcastically.

"I wanna try something."

"Okay?..." He slowly leaned forward closing the space between us and kissing me. I kissed back and he pulled away after a bit.

"I should uh probably get going."

"No please just stay?" I asked quietly. He nodded laid down next to me. I soon slowly drifted off to sleep.
