" okay how the hell did you have the time to make all these?" A bunch of cleaning inventions worked around the room to clean Carlos' house as I walked around a bit, Carlos following close behind"I don't know, I've just had a lot of spare time, thank god no one went in my moms closet" I nodded my head and turned around to talk to him"Speaking of your mom, when is she supposed to be back?" He shrugged and looked at his feet"sometime tomorrow I think" a knock could be heard from the door, I raised a brow in confusion"Were you expecting someone?" He shook his head a bit as the knocking grew louder. He started to walk over to the door as I followed close behind"Hang on!" He flung open the door"who's-" cutting himself off when he saw jay, Evie, and Mal all standing there, he quickly shut the door and leaned against it as the three of them started yelling through the door.

"Open up! It's important!"

"No! Go away! I'm not having anymore parties!"

"Carlos! Something happened with that machine of yours! Something big!"

Carlos looked over to me as if asking for help, I rolled my eyes and sighed as I pulled Carlos away from the door and opened it. "Hey (Y/n)" Jay said as the three of them walked in I just nodded my head at him as Carlos sent Evie a glare"You told them? I trusted you!" Evie waved him off"it's fine, I had my fingers crossed behind my back" I shut the door behind them. We all followed Evie over to Carlos' box Evie stood next to it explaining what happened"Okay, so at the party, Carlos switched on this machine he invented, it's a box that looks for some kind of signal that lets you watch other TV shows. When he turned it on, it let out this huge blast of light. It burned a hole right through the house, and then his TV's came alive with all these different shows" Jay started to examine it "Neat,How does that prove it broke through the dome?" Mal asked as Evie shrugged with a response"because we've never seen those shows before, which means the signal didn't come from the Isle Of The Lost, it care from Auradon." Mal started examining it as Jay now stood next to Evie. I rolled my eyes and stood off beside Carlos"Do you think there's a possibility it let in magic and not just TV shows?" Mal directed her question toward Carlos, he opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off"Magic? Why? Do you know something we don't? Why are you even here Mal?" She sent a small glare my way and thought for a second as everyone waited for her to respond"Alright I'll tell you, Jay already knows, but this has to stay between us, Evie, no hidden backsies" Evie showed her hands and gave a response"Fine" while Carlos grumbled"should've made her show her hands." I crossed my arms a cross my chest as we all waited for her to explain"the night of the party, my mother's raven diablo- who's been turned to stone by the three so called "good" fairies- came back to life, and diablo swears he saw the Dragon's Eye, my mother's missing scepter, awaken" Carlos widened his eyes as I raised a brow"but that would mean.." Jay cut him off"Magic bro! Magic penetrated the dome for a second! Do it again!" Carlos picked up the device"I tried, but whenever I turn it on, all it does is make this beeping noise." He the. Proceeded to turn it on as it started beeping.

"Like a compass I stole one of those once"

"Could be a detector of some sort"

"Maybe it's looking for a signal, maybe it senses something"

"You think it could be communicating with the Dragon's Eye?"

"Could be"

Mal then put a hand on Carlos shoulder "Alright, you and (Y/n) are going too" I raised a brow"Why me? And where are we even going?" Carlos nodded his head in agreement"To find the Dragon's Eye of course. Unless Carlos wants to give me the little box" Carlos sighed"that's what I thought" Mal continued with"besides, I need someone to keep an eye on Carlos, and that would be you (Y/n)" I rolled my eyes. The roaring of a car engine could be heard and the shouting of Carlos' mother"Carlos! Carlos! How's my one true love?" Carlos' face quickly fell"She's back....mother...she wasn't supposed to be back home until tomorrow, the sulfur spa must've dried up" Evie gave him a weird look as Jay did the same.

"She calls you her one true love?"

"Bro, weird"

Carlos quickly started pushing us to the back of his house"Mal, you want me on this scepter hunt of yours? Then we leave out the back now" Mal chuckled"I've never been so glad that you're so afraid, our first stop is dragon hall, we've got a map to find"

Once we got the map Mal wanted we hurried down to Goblin Wharf, apparently the scepter is on some island on the isle, and I thought this place was just one pile of land surrounding by an ocean. I glanced over at Uma's pirate ship that sat directly next to the docks, pirates marched around on it as goblins marched around the docks, not daring to go near the ship.

"So...your mom, huh? She's uh, something"

Evie said trying to strike up conversation I looked over at Carlos as we walked next to each other"Yep, the infamous Cruella De Vil, one-way ticket to crazy-town, right?"

"At least she doesn't do this thing my mom does, where she pretends to be the magic mirror telling me I'm far from the fairest in the land."

Jay looked back at Evie as he jumped in the conversation "seriously? But you're gorgeous, I mean, your not my type, but you've got to know you're good looking" I watched as Evie shrugged and explained"We're the children of the most evil villains in the world, what do you expect? Love, joy, sympathy? Doesn't Jafar only care about the Junk Shop?" Jay nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders"Yeah, sure, but what else is he supposed to care about?" I laughed a bit"you got a point there all my father cares about is getting my older brother back from Auradon, or to get me to act like him." Carlos put an arm around my shoulder and looked over to Mal" What about you, Mal? What's it like being Maleficent's kid?" She looked back at us for a second, then turned back around and looked off to the side"I..." She quickly turned back to us changing the subject"I think we'll need to pay for passage, the Goblins won't take us over there for free" a grin quickly graced Jay's face as he quickly took out everything he's stolen today while saying"Does this work?"
