Hayden was getting ready to leave Auradon, packing his stuff when he got a visitor.
"I hate to know you're leaving... " Mal sighed leaning on the door porch.
"Mal, is for the best." Hayden said seeing a box with a bow staring at it confused. "Someone sent me a gift. Weird."
"Have you read who is it from?" Mal smiled wide seeing her brother's confusion.
"From Mal, Evie, jay and a very distant Carlos. I'll miss that kid. Thanks mal thank the others for me." Hayden sat on the bed with the box on his lap. "To my dear brother, I hope you come back at least to the wedding and you can even bring a plus one." Hayden read a post card and then opened the gift seeing a frame with a picture of them when Hayden got out of the nursery alongside Ben. "I love it. I'll be on your wedding someone has to take you to the altar and make Ben shit his pants." Hayden joked with Mal as she hugged him in tears, "Ouh Mal. You'll make me cry. I need to show I am a person to be feared here in Auradon."
"I'll miss you badly." Mal snuggled on her brother wiping her tears.
"This kingdom really made you soft. I never imagined you would want my cuddles for this long." Hayden joked tickling Mal.
"Shut up and opened the other gifts. I bet you'll love Evie's. She is hurt with you but we know she misses you as a friend and mentor." Mal commented staring at the box as Hayden got her gift.
"Dear Hayden, hope you open your eyes once and for all. Evie xxx." Hayden read the card and opened it a bit heartbroken seeing she gave him a necklace he gave to her back. "She gave it back." Hayden said ignoring the jacket Evie made. "Got the message Evie." Hayden got her gift in the case. "Hayden, I'll miss you on the track and jumping on roofs with you. Hope you come back soon, Jade and Jawaad will stay so I hope you do to. Love Jay." Hayden then opened and saw a ball inside staring at it confused. "What is this?"
"Is a Tourney ball. You'll love to play it. I'll ask Jay to teach you." Mal smiled looking at it. "What the hell did Carlos send you as a gift?" Mal asked seeing the oddly shaped wrapped gift.
Hayden opened and stared at it, " a compass. It's a inner joke between me and the De Vil's. I'll miss him really badly." Hayden spoke smiling wide, "I hope you come visit me as well. You can do it easier than I can."
"No... you know there is no barrier anymore right?" Mal stated and Hayden stared at her shocked. "Audrey she got mom's scepter and Ben's crown, put almost everyone asleep trying to take over the isle and Auradon, we beated her and I told ben I couldn't be a queen with a barrier between Auradon and our people. So barrier down, bridge up... happy ending." Mal summarised the story making Hayden chuckle.
"My sister being better than I thought as a queen. Well done you. Are you mad I helped Audrey escape? I didn't know about the story I helped her because she was trapped in vines Evie then sarcastically pointed me the finger. She told me she would denounce me and reminded me our father killed her father." Hayden spoke in tears in the end as Mal's jaw dropped. "See I am not fit to be a king Mal. That's why I taught you all I knew."
"We need to find her. You ain't going to the Isle." Mal was about to panic and Hayden grabbed her arm and got her to seat down again.
"Mal, audrey won't come back after Evie's reaction. Unless to try and make me fall in love with her to marry the Long Live Evil Hayden. Gold digger." Hayden spoke with a smile on his face. "If she attacks Auradon I will be by your side this time and like 30 more people?"
Mal sighed, "ok fine. I'll trust you. But that won't make me sleep at night Hayden."
"I'll take mom's cepter and guard it. She won't get any close to it." Hayden held mal's hand, "let me settle my house and I will come to get it and make sure it's well hidden so no one finds it at least as long as I live" Hayden smiled wide trying to comfort Mal who smiled.
