You walked in through the door and I didn't even notice you.
I was frantically finishing up the homework I forget to do last night.
I was blissfully unaware of the torment you would put me through.
Unaware of the epic highs and the ground shattering lows.
All I wanted was a stapler
But you gave me the very pins that would pierce mt heart .

I walked in scared, lonely and filled with anticipation.
I was filled with apprehension at the thought of making new friends and settling in.
But that was when i noticed you
Soft black hair that kissed your shoulders, deep brown eyes.
I felt a flutter in my heart- so hard I had to steel myself.
As I managed to walk past without tripping
your tiny hand held my sleeve and a casual "Dude, got a stapler?" had me hooked and reeled in.
I would have gone to the ends of the world to give you what you wanted
but all you wanted was my heart to toy and tear apart.
