Not giving in

Chapter 5

The day after our awkward hug we went to school. I hated school and it was Friday so I wasn't going to go but I went for Tom. He texted me as I was walking in the gate he was waiting for me out the front. It turns out I walked straight past him.

I ran over to hug him he stopped me in front of him and said "it won't be and awkward hug today, I promise".

I giggled and replied " I promise to" and he lived up to his word he hug like a normal person would.

We walked into the school and all of our friends toke photos we let go of each other's hands and walked away.

I was so angry. My best friend Blue was the only one that didn't take a photo. I only spoke to her and Tom.

"School was terrible today" I said to Mum as I walked in the door. I had organised for Tom to come over later that night. To have dinner and go in the pool I brought flower petals and floating candles I lite all the floating candle and also placed some around to pool I threw the petals in and around the pool. I made it as romantic as possible he got there and we had dinner mum was helping make it romantic. We sat outside under the stars and at the baked dinner Mum had made us.

Once we finished dinner we walked down to the pool when he saw what I had done he was speechless.

The only thing he said "I love you Janie".

I didn't know what to do I just agreed and said it back I really was not expecting it.
