Not giving in

Chapter 2

I let a week passed and summer break had ended. I walked in the school gate he was standing there I turned to walk away but I heard my name, I waited a second then I turned around he was walking toward me I froze.

" Hey Janie " he said in his calming voice.

"Hi" I said back barley speaking.

"Can we talk" he said nicely

"Yes" I replied

As we were walking he said to me "can we just be friend"

"Thanks so much I could not stop thinking about how to tell you or bring it up". I said nice as I could.

"Thank you" he said to me while we were having our last hug.

Just after our short but relieving conversation I walk back over to my friends they always know when I'm not telling them something. All at the same time they said " what?" I replied back by singing " I'm a single women. I'm a single women." We were jumping with excitement.

Until one of my x's friend came over, my friends and I grabbed all of our bags and walk away before he got a word in.
