I Thought You Were Dead

I rode with Fury, Maria, and Mysterio on a boat to get to the "lair." When we got there we waited for Peter.

I noticed the red and blue spandex before he noticed me. "Hey, Peter, we need to talk." I grabbed his arm, but Fury stopped me.

"We need to talk." Fury said, emphasizing the 'we'.

"Okay." Peter turned away from me and started fanboying over Mysterio.

"This is Quentin Beck he's-"

"Wait, you're name is Quentin Beck?" I pushed past Peter and looked at the man.

"Yes." He nodded. Tears welled in my eyes as I asked him the next question.

"Did you by any chance meet a woman named Sarah and hook up with her?" I asked, hopefully.

"Why are you asking me these questions?"

"I'm Skylar Rogers." I held my hand out for him to shake. "My adopted father is Steve Rogers and he said my parents are Sarah Rivera and Quentin Beck."

"I have a daughter!" Mysterio shouted as he picked me up and spun me around. He set me down and put his hands on the sides of my face. "Wow, I see it now."

"So, what about my mom?" I asked.

"That's why I'm here." Mysterio crossed his arms and showed us a hologram. "The snap tore a hole in our universe and I was brought here in this time of 2023."

"If I'm your daughter, then how did I end up here in 2002?" I came up to the hologram and studied the elementals and where they were. "Which ones have you defeated?"

"Well, first off, maybe the snap sent you back in time and I've defeated the earth elemental, the storm elemental, and the water elemental."

"Oh yeah, Fury told me that." I laughed and looked over at Peter whose face was stone cold. "Come on, Peter. I had my reasons for calling it quits!"

"Did you though?" He mumbled.

"I watched you for six months, Peter, six months!" I shouted. "I was devastated when you dusted, leaving me to age without you! I lost my father, so you wouldn't have to live without me! Did I mention that I fucking died!?"

"Alright!" Fury shouted. "We need you two to go to Prague."

"I can't go." Peter said under his breath. "I'm just the friendly neighborhood Spiderman."

"Bitch please, you've been to space."

"But, I'm on vacation." Peter whined.

"Come on, Peter, I'll stay with you the whole way." I nudged his arm and he moved away. "Come on, I did what I was told to do when you figured out that I was here."

"What do you mean?" He looked at me with worry in his eyes.

"I was told to split it if you figured out about me." I confessed.

"Skylar I-"

"No, let's just go back to Venice and act like I never died and we never got together." I shrugged.

"What about everyone else?" He asked.

"I have invisibility, silly." I giggled, ruffling his curls.

"Right." He nodded. I turned invisible and flew above Peter's head. He looked straight at me and grinned. "What are you doing up there?"

"How'd you know where I was?" I came out of my invisibility and put my hands on my hips.

"Spider sense." He pointed to his head.

"Oh." I landed softly on the ground next to him. "Now get over here."

I wrapped my arms around his torso and he pulled me into his chest. I smiled and listened to his heartbeat.

"Okay." Fury raised his voice. "Go somewhere."

The big man took Peter and I back to the boat. We rode across the river and I looked at Peter, he was smiling at possibly nothing, causing me to smile. I looked away, but I felt felt his eyes on me.

We got back to Venice and I followed Peter up to his shared hotel room with Ned. For some reason, he always gets to room with him. I'm just glad he didn't have to room with Flash or Brad.

I came out of my invisibility and plopped on the bed. "Wh- huh? Sky? Wait, what?" I looked up at Ned's confused face.

"Sup, Ned." I smiled.

"I thought you were dead." He shook his head in disbelief.

"I'm 15 year old Sky. 20 year old me is dead." I nodded. "So, yea, I am dead."

"Woah." Ned's eyes grew wide. He started asking a bunch of weird questions until someone knocked on the door and I turned invisible.

Betty walked in and Ned kissed her on the cheek. I pulled out my phone and texted Peter.

They started dating on the plane

"Who are you texting Peter?" Betty asked.

"Uh, um, MJ." He lied.

"What?" MJ appeared behind Betty and all color left in Peter's face drained.

"My aunt's friend, MJ." Peter nodded vigorously. "Mary Jane."

"Oh." Betty smiled.

"Yeah." Peter nodded.

Everyone left and I tried sleep next to Peter, but I couldn't get Mysterio off of my mind. My father's a superhero with powers? How don't I have his powers? Am I from the multiverse? Do I still love Peter?
