Chapter 1. We survive together

Alice wake up! Hurry before Mom and dad get up! we need to go!
Where are we going?
We are getting the f*ck out of here we're sixteen today and Uncle John and Aunt Sarah are coming to get us. I already packed your things so hurry up.
Okay okay I'm up *rubs eyes*
Get up before I drag your dumb a$$ (hears car pull up) c'mon we really need to go.
I walked towards the door waiting for Alice as she threw on a Long sweater and some jeans. I thought to myself "I can't belive we are getting out of this hell hole."
I grabbed Alices hand as I rushed her out the door with an enourmous smile on my face.
"I haven't seen that smile in a while Al" I scoffed whatever. We jumped in the car and off we drove from our home town where we grew up just leaving everything behind. It's not like I cared we were leaving behind our drunk father and mother who always faught and punished us for nothing.
I couldn't bare to see them slap or throw anything else at Alice she was the kindest person I have ever met and my twin I would die for here before I let them touch her one last time. We were born at the exact same time on December 5th at 4:15 AM, But she will forever be my little sister.

Al are we going to live with Aunt Sarah and Uncle John? "Yes" I replied they filled out adoptive paperwork and reported mom and dad to the police. As I said that they both looked at us like we were new born babies and just smiled with a gleam in their eyes. We made eye contact and I turned bright red.
Thank you guys I can't thank you enough for helping us and I'm so exicted to live with you in Colorado. "We lived in Florida our hole lives and never really experienced snow or anything really we had a dull and terrible life with our parents."

No need to thank us Alex we will take care of you because we love you both and couldn't be happier to welcome you to your new family. "they said."
As we drove me and Alice fell asleep my head laid on her shoulder and we cuddled like we were two teddy bears. Haha I never felt happier.
We made a few rest stops on the way to Colorado and saw so many amazing things Like HAVE YOU SEEN the rocks in Arizona so beautiful I love photography and I always loved taking pictures of the palm trees and beach. Alice loved art and would draw the pictures I took we were Artist and we loved every moment we weren't at home. Me and Alice were practically sticks so skinny because our parents never bought groceries only spent any money we had on gambling and Alchol. I just can't wait to get to Colorado. "Our new home".
