Equestrian Challenge Day 2

Day 2 - The last time you rode a horse and what you did

Speaking that I already covered my ride on the Spanish Norman from yesterday in yesterday's chapter, I'll talk of the last ride I've had on one of my guys. That ride/s consisted of when we hauled Thor and Tino to the trainer's for our lesson Thursday. It was mostly working on rail work and picking up leads for Tino while with Thor it was mostly working on poles as he hadn't quite been doing them the way we should along with a bit of barrel work after.

We actually learn that Tino is trained to pick up his leads backward, it's kinda odd to say at least. We were working with him and he would smoothly pick up the wrong lead when cued however when cued incorrectly he did it every time. He actually picks up the correct lead if you used the foot on the same side as the lead. It's odd but it's something that I just have to get used to.
