*time skip to the middle of summer*
Ambers POV
Today is the day dustin comes home! Will and his friends are going to surprise him. A little update, Max won't let Lucas hate me anymore because they're dating and the bullying has stayed the same but now I fire back. I was wearing Dustin's hoodie even though it was hot to shown him I missed him. I got radioed from Max saying they surprised him and I quickly rushed over not minding Wills words to not come. I walked in and wow things have changed. He was skinny now and taller.
"Hi Amber I missed you," he said and hugged me tight. "We need to get to a higher location so you can meet Suzie." he said with a smile
My heart dropped. "Who's that." i said trying not to cry.
"Oh she's my girlfriend." he said so casual.
"Sorry, I would but Steve and Robin wanted me to come by," I said with a lump in my throat. "Adios Amigos." i said and left sad. I called Jonathan and asked him to take me to the mall. He only agreed because he heard me sad.
When I got to the mall I ran straight to scoops ahoy. I hugged steve tight and cried. He took me to the back room to talk.
"Hey, my child what's wrong?" he asked really concerned.
"While Dustin was at camp he-" I took a minute to breathe "he found a new girlfriend." I finally choked out and cried harder. He promised me and i trusted him. Steve knew how much i had missed him and went all mom mode. He went and got me a U.S.S butterscotch sundae. I ate it in the back still wearing dustin's hoodie. I threw it on the ground and continued to eat my ice cream. I got bored and decided to walk around the mall. I saw Erica and she just looked at me. I don't know if she likes me or not. I called Jonathan and he took me home.
DUSTINS POV
It's weird Amber didn't come with us. I thought she would never leave my side cause we were so close before camp. She looks a bit chubbier than last time i saw her but i don't mind. After we got up to the mountain i set up the radio. i tried to call suzie lots of times and everyone left. Finally I heard her angelic voice.
AMBERS POV
I was laying in bed when I heard the signal on my walkie talkie. I heard dustin's voice and immediately turned it up, there was two voices. It sounded like another girl. It must be Suzie! They started singing some song which made me sad, so I turned it back down and curled in a ball. I snuck out of my house and biked to max's house. I knocked on Billy's window.
"Hey chunky chuckle, what's up?" He said so casually
"Hi bill bill I'm sad and I really need a good brotherly hug." I said with puppy eyes. He squeezed me tight.
"thank youuu" i said
"Now who's ass do I need to beat" he said
" no ones" I chuckled. I than told him the whole story
"I'm sorry that happened chucks" I loved it when he called me chucks it made me feel comforted
I ended up falling asleep in Billy's arms that night it was the best sleep i'd gotten in awhile.
