[Skylar's POV]

The night ended pretty well. Oddly enough, Tristan never came back to have dinner with us, which worried me. Today, I have to get his number. I don't know why he left but he seemed angry and bothered by something and I know for a fact it was something to do with Adrian, but I don't know what it could be.

"Morning." Adrian smiled as I got in his car.

"Morning." I smiled back. I ended up telling Bri I wouldn't need a ride from her. Since everything's okay between Adrian and me, I decided it wouldn't be awkward, and I was right.

I'm glad he snuck into my house, as wrong as it is or sounds. I'd probably try and avoid him today if he hadn't decided to be a creep. He parked next to Bri.

"Hey!" Bri smiled walking up to us.

"Morning." I yawned.

"Hey." Adrian smiled. I looked around the parking lot seeing Tristan walking towards the school gate.

"I'll be back!" I said before running over to Tristan ignoring Adrian's calls.

"Tristan!" I yelled. I watched as he turned around facing me when I caught up to him. He seemed surprised for some reason which had me confused.

"What?" His voice seemed cold and distant.

"What's wrong? You never came back yesterday. I had made a plate for you and everything." I gave him a confused face.

"You did?" He looked shocked.

"Yeah, why wouldn't I? All four of us are friends." I paused before continuing. "Whatever is bothering me, you can tell me. You don't need to keep it locked in." He seemed hesitant about it.

"Honestly Adrian just easily grinds my gears." He shrugged but I could tell there was more to the story.

"Give me your phone," I said holding out my hand.

"What?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Just give me your phone." I sighed. I smiled once he placed it in the palm of my hand. I typed my phone number then saved it. "Text or call me whenever feel like talking about the other half of the other problem." I then walked back over to Adrian and Bri who seemed to be watching us the entire time.

"What was all that about?" Adrian raised an eyebrow.

"I just asked him why he left and then gave him my phone number." I shrugged.

"You gave him your phone number?" Bri looked surprised.

"Yeah, why not? You both have my number. It would be unfair if he didn't." I looked down at my phone to see the time. "We should get going, the bell is about to ring." Bri locked her arm around mine making me laugh.

"Does this mean I get to hold your hand this time?" Adrian smirked before holding out his hand.

What do I do? I don't want him to think I like him like that... But if I do let him hold my hand, and I decide not to try with him, would he think I was leading him on?

I took a deep breath before holding out my hand.

Screw it, might as well give it a try!

He looked surprised before breaking into a smile. He laced our fingers together making my heart flutter. I looked away knowing my face was flushing red. I could feel eyes on us as we walked through the school halls.

"So he really is gay?"

"Too bad, I thought he was pretty cute."

"They'd be cute together!"
