Zoro was never considered a thinker, not even by himself. He just went with his gut. That was a fact. But he found the fact changing.

He would find himself awake at night, his mind fixed revolving around something or someone in particular.

Someone with (E/C) eyes that looked like the rarest and the most beautiful kind of gems. (H/L) (H/C) locks that shone under the light and looked as soft as the finest silk in the world.

Look at him being corny and poetic. His friends would say that he was whipped but he denied it, stating that he was just being observant just like he was around new people, but even he himself had a hard time believing that.

The first time he'd seen her was in the hallways when he was on his way to his next class- which he obviously lost his way to. He swore his heart stopped for a moment when he heard her laugh. It was soft, soothing and so contagious that he felt his own lips tugging up rather than settling down for a scowl.

"It seems like you're lost," she asked, the kind smile never leaving her lips.

Zoro had an urge to actually answer than give a comeback.

"Yeah, all of those halls are the same" he replied, rubbing the back of his neck out of nervousness though he didn't know why.

"I can agree with you on that. Where are you going anyway? I might know the way" she had offered.

"Japanese history" he mumbled. "Oh! Good thing I was just heading there! Come on!" She started walking, urging Zoro to follow, which he did.

"Oh no! Not there!" she called as she saw the green-haired stranger going in the opposite direction. His breath got caught in his throat once again as she grabbed his hand.

She pulled him along the now empty halls, a comfortable silence settling between them. All the while, Zoro's gaze was fixed upon their joined hands.

"And we're here!" She turned to him and smiled.

"Oh, wait!" she called just as his hand touched the doorknob. She pushed a shopping bag into his hands. "Can you please give this to your teacher?"

Without giving him a chance to answer, she ran off, yelling a 'Thank you!' over her shoulder.

Sighing, he entered the classroom. Mr Dracule didn't even bother looking in his direction.

Silently placing the bag on his teacher's desk, he made his way to his seat.

Weeks had passed since that day, but she just wouldn't leave his mind and Zoro was becoming increasingly frustrated by the minute.

Sighing, he pulled the scarf tighter around his neck, hands wrapping around the cup of coffee in his hands. He was currently on his way to his first class of the day- gym.

He stopped in his tracks as he heard that same laugh again. Blood rushed into his head and dizziness took over him, but he steadied himself. Looking around, he almost immediately found her, sitting on the bench laughing along with a man he thought was incapable of smiling.

Their eyes met and her smile broadened. "Hey! It's you again!" she waves him over, so he goes.

"Nice to see you...?"

"Roronoa Zoro"

"Zoro! Nice name!" His heart skipped a beat.

"I haven't gotten your name."

"(Y/N)! Dracule (Y/N)" Zoro's eyes widened in surprise. "You're- His- huh??" Zoro pointed between the girl and his stoic professor

"Yeah, even I am surprised to be the daughter of this old man" she giggled, which earned a glare from the older male but she just laughed it off. "Yeah, dad, I know you're not a day older than 43!"
