Friday was here and now you waited outside patiently for Sei to arrive. Could you even afford another hybrid? You thought about it and it was a maybe. Literally just today, your boss had given you a raise and now you're making more money. Bless your boss for giving you a raise. You were happy but if you wanted another hybrid...

A honk pulled you out of your thoughts as you saw Sei's car pulling up. He quickly got out and met you halfway. "Was I too late? Did you wait long?"

"Nope. It's ok." You smiled at him as another voice called out your name. "Y/N!"

Then you were engulfed into a hug. Yui- Sei's sister - was laughing a little. "I missed you!"

"I missed you too." You replied giving her a hug back. She ushered you to the car and let you sit in the passenger seat. She was too nice.

"So, how's your family Y/N?" Yui asked you, immediately jumping into a conversation.

"Everyone's good." You smiled at her as Sei started to drive off.

"Oh yeah!" Yui's eyes sparkled with interest and gave you her brightest smile. "Sei told me you have some hybrids! What are their names, animals and how are they doing?" She excitedly spoke fast but good thing you understood her.

You laughed a bit at her happiness. "Well, their names are Jimin and Seokjin. Jimin is a corgi and Seokjin is a falcon. I think they like living with me so they're doing pretty good."

She gasped lightly. "A corgi? How adorable! And a falcon? Is he very handsome? I heard that falcons were dangerous as they were beautiful."

You thought about it for a moment. "Yeah, he's very handsome."

Yui nodded in approval. "I'm just really excited. I'm sorry that I'm talking too much." She apologized.

"No, it's ok!" You reassured her. "I understand."

She gave you a smile as Sei pulled into a parking space. Wow, was it really that quick? Everyone got out the car and stepped into the shelter. Immediately you were greeted by a confused Dowoon. "Oh hi you two."

"Hi Dowoon." Sei smiled back at him while you also greeted him. Yui then smiled at him. "Hello! Are you a friend?"

Dowoon smiled a bit. "Uh, yeah. Y/N is my friend and then I met that guy."

"Ah," Yui nodded in understanding. "Well, I'm here to adopt a hybrid."

"Alright, follow me everyone." Dowoon gestured to the door and everyone filed in. Yui walked past a few of the cages while you and Sei trailed slightly behind. She paused at one cage, peering in. "Aw, a cat. How cute." She continued. "Hey buddy."

Was it the cat from last time? You snuck in a glance and there was the cat from before. His tail lazily flicking as he seemed to glare at Yui with his dark eyes. "He's not used to other people." Dowoon interjected. "He's attacked a few people."

Yui let out a small sigh and continued walking along the cages. Meanwhile you paused in front of the cage. The cat's eyes never left yours although his tail continued to flick in annoyance. He let out a noise of disapproval before turning his head away.

"Are you going to adopt him?" Sei's voice asked that made you jump.

"I don't know..." You trailed off. "I'm not sure if he would like me."

As Yui continued to look for her perfect friend, Dowoon headed back towards you. "Want me to unlock the cage?" He asked as he literally did it. 

"Why did you even ask?" You sighed at your friend. He just shrugged a shoulder. "Just make sure to close it and it'll lock by itself." He sent you a smile as he carried on following Yui who paused in front of a cage.

You bit the inside of your cheek. "Maybe he will like you." Sei said. "I'll be over there." He pointed towards his sister and left you alone with the cat hybrid. Taking a deep breath,you just walked in slightly closing the door behind you. "Hey there." You softly said and the cat's ear twitched a bit.

Slowly, he raised his head and looked straight at you. He seemed to glare you. "C'mon, I won't hurt you." You took a small step forward as to not frighten him. You kneeled down and smiled at him. "You're a handsome boy, aren't you?"

Maybe because it was the dim lights in the shelter but now that you were closer, you could see him better. His long coat made him look really fluffy and was an ashy gray color. His fluffy tail whipped back and forth as he slowly stood up to his paws. He tilted his head and jumped down from the ledge he was on. Now you two were staring at each other.

You held out a hand in hopes he would come to you. And he did.

He stalked forward a bit, his eyes flickering between you and your hand. Once he got close enough, he sniffed your hand a bit, his whiskers tickling the tips of your fingers. You giggled a bit as he let out a small meow. "You're cute." You said as you shifted your hand to rub his head in a soothing way. A low purr emitted from his chest and he briefly closed his eyes. Then he snapped them open as if he was embarrassed that he just purred. You sent him another smile and continued to rub his head and lightly scratching. He let out another meow and finally sat down.

"Are you going to adopt him?" Dowoon's voice floated into the cage and you turned your head back to look at him. "He never once did that with any of the staff..."

You slightly frowned and turned back to see the cat's dark eyes staring right into yours. They searched your face and you only stared right at him. Another hybrid... Would your own hybrids be okay with it? The cat hybrid meowed once and tilted his head in a cute way. 

Damn it.
