"No sleeping with other men" He looks down at me and shrugs "Shouldn't be a problem for you"
I scoff "Right will no sleeping with other women for you then, that should be a problem for you."
He looks me right in the eyes and speaks with a grin playi...
"I'm not playing games. You have tested my patience long enough and I will pull the trigger and shoot you and your husband if you don't give me the ledger now." Slader says without flinching.
I could already feel the sweat sliding down my forehead from how nervous I was. I gently place my arm down to my side and into my pocket.
"Grayson give me the ledger," I say while keeping my eyes at a now grinning Slader.
I could hear him gasp "What?! Qui-
"Give. me. the. fucking. ledger Grayson." I grit through my teeth and Grayson slams the ledger into my other hand.
"You're not the person I thought you were," Grayson said and his cold and disappointed voice almost made me want to cry.
"Yeah, I guess I'm not." I take two steps towards Slader.
"Good girl." He grins at me and I give him a smile back before pulling the lighter out of my pocket and flicking it open letting the flame come dangerously close to the ledger.
"Mmh I don't think I am." Sladers face falls at my sudden move and he lets out a growl. "Now it's your turn to listen to me dumbass. I will burn this stupid book if you so much as dare look at Grayson the wrong way. Let Grayson go and I will give you the ledger."
"No give me the ledger and I'll let you both walk away." Mr. Rang pipes in from behind Slader.
"Oh shut the hell up. We all know that Slader plans on killing you after he gets the ledger and he'll probably kill Grayson and me to prevent us from telling everyone in this ledger that they're info leaked and that they need to close all there accounts."
My eyes turn back to Slader and I notice his eye twitch then Mr. Rang's annoying voice rings through the air "That's not true he needs me and he would never-
I watch in slow motion as Slader turns around quickly and points the gun at Mr. Rang.
I shout for Grayson to run into the forest and then the gunshot goes off and you could hear Mr. Rang's body hit the ground with a thud. By then I had set the ledger on fire and thrown it to the ground as it slowly burned into ash and I run towards the forest and I make the mistake of looking behind me at Slader's mad face and gun moving up to point my way. I make it into the forest and two more gunshots go off but I think he missed. By then I could already hear the sirens silently thanking Colon for calling the police I continue to run through the woods until I see the road ahead of me and when I feel my feet hit the dirt road I know I'm safe because cop cars immediately pull up just in time. The police stop their car and get out with pointed guns at me. I raise my hands up in surrender "No I'm not the bad guy!" I try to tell them but they continue yelling at me to put my hands up and to lay slowly on the ground.
Colon comes running up "I was the one who called you guys! this is my friend and she was the one in trouble. We heard gunshots." The police lower their guns and I point down the road "There's a guy down there who has a gun and he shot an Asian guy and I think he's seriously injured or dead but he tried to kill us too." I say through breaths of air. My lungs felt like dying due to running so hard.
"Ma'am was there anyone else with you?"
My whole body goes rigid and a shiver "Oh God Grayson." I whisper before thinking I turn and run back into the forest despite everyone yelling at me to stop and stay put.
