Fractured fairytales. Modernized fairytales. Fairytale retelling. Whatever you want to call the new age of reimaged bedtime stories, you can't deny the temptation of reading one of these goodies. My personal favorites include the Sisters Grimm series by Michael Buckley and the Whatever After series by Sarah Mlynowski, as is the Ever After High web series. Popular ones include Once Upon a Time on ABC and the Cinder series. Those are only a few examples.

These 12 tales have danced around in my mind for a while now. Thoughts like "What if Gothel was actually trying to protect Rapunzel?", "What if Sleeping Beauty was just trapped in her own mind?", "What if Snow refused to marry her Prince?".

The stories you are about to read are a mix of the original, Disney, a kick of reality, feminism, and my own crazy mind. Hop you enjoy!
