You woke up with what seemed like the worst headache you've had in your life. You groaned and sat up, trying to rub the pain away. Thank god you had packed Advil. You reached into your bag and pulled out the pill bottle, taking out two before going to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.

Filling up the glass and downing the pills, you noticed Courtney making herself breakfast out of the corner of your eyes. "G' morning, Court." You muttered, cleaning your glass out a little before putting it back in the cupboard.

"Good morning, Y/n." She replied and you couldn't help but notice the smug look on her face. Fuck. Seems like she wasn't going to drop what happened between you and Shayne last night.

       "So you and Shayne, huh?"
You stood corrected. "You guys would be cute together—" you cut her off quickly. "Nope. I'm stopping you right there. It was innocent fun, you weren't even there to witness the full thing." You deflected, becoming a bit defensive.

Courtney rose a brow at you, but the smirk stayed prominent on her face. "Innocent fun turned into you two almost falling asleep on a bed together? I don't even want to ask how innocent the fun actually was." She snickered at you. You gaped at her, cheeks flushing red as you picked up a couch pillow and whacked her in the head.

Courtney couldn't help but to laugh. "Stop that! We didn't do anything." You protested with a groan, "I can't deal with you right now, I'm going to the bathroom to get ready for today."

"I'm sorry, Y/n! I was just teasing!" You heard Courtney call while you walked away, and you flipped her off with a small smile she couldn't see. You couldn't stay mad at her for long.

You got ready for the day. Standing in the bathroom, you brushed your teeth, did your makeup and got changed into your team attire. The game you'd be playing was slip n' slide kickball, pretty self explanatory.

You quickly threw your hair into a ponytail, pulling up a yellow sweatband and fixing it on your head. You left the bathroom, noticing everybody was awake now.

"Good morning." You called out with a smile, receiving them back. Shayne made eye contact with you shortly before swiftly getting up and making his way toward you.

You gulp a little in fear, what did he want to say to you? "Hey," He started. "Hey." You responded, feeling a bit awkward as you rocked back and fourth on your heels.

Why were you so nervous? What happened last night wasn't even bad enough to ruin your friendship, if anything he was the one who made it happen. It was just...very embarrassing and you wanted to avoid all confrontation...Guess that plan already failed.

"Uh...I — Um," Shayne seemed a bit hesitant, but you waited patiently for him to continue. "Are you okay? Y'know, from last night? You seemed to have hit your head pretty hard."

...Really? You felt a weight lift off of your shoulders and you could hear the angels singing in the heavens. He didn't want to talk about the (awkward) sort of cuddle session you had last night, he only wanted to make sure you were okay. You felt your heart flutter, god, bless his soul.

"Yeah," You nodded, "I'm alright, just got up too fast. I'm honestly not sure how I even managed to hit my head." You laughed a little.

Shayne smiled at you, "Just be careful next time, so I don't have to worry too much." He pushed you lightly. "Aww, you were worried about me." You mocked, clasping your hands together, pouting and batting your eyelashes.

Shayne laughed at you, pushing you a bit harder, making you stumble a little with a laugh.

You had forgotten almost everybody was there watching you two. You were too busy wrapped up in Shayne land as you guys continued to talk.

Courtney watched on with a knowing look, 'I told you so,' was basically written in her eyes.

She smiled to herself before turning away, if she was right about this whole thing, at least she knew he would be good for you.
