Chapter 13

Liv's POV

June 2, 2019

You and Shawn were going about your day like you normally would.

"Hey Liv, I've got a pretty important question for you and you don't have to say yes, but I'm really hoping you do." Shawn says getting your attention.

"Ok, so what's your big question." You say giggling a little bit at his adorable shyness.

"I was wondering if you would like to write, sing, and record a song with me? Hear me out I've been listening to you sing around the condo since you moved in with me, and you always sound so amazing, and I thought why not? It'd be fun and who knows what this could do for you in the music industry. I think you'd be great in the music world, and it could definitely use a voice as beautiful as yours." Shawn rambles out with a hopeful heart.

"I mean I'd love to sing a song with you, but I just don't know, I don't think I'd even sound that good to be honest. I sing because I enjoy singing and I'm not doing it to get anything out if it. I didn't know you had even heard me all those times I was singing, it's more of a fun hobby for me, but if you really want me to write and sing a song with you then I guess I wouldn't mind. Yeah I'll do it but only if you want me to and if it's ok with your label." You answer his question honestly with a smile on your face.

"Oh my god you don't know how happy and I am to hear that, this is gonna be so great, we'll have to start the writing process soon and then we'll go from there. This is going to be absolutely amazing, I'm gonna go tell Andrew and the Label so I'll be back in a second." Shawn says with a huge grin on his face.

He makes the phone calls and sorts everything out. After he finished the phone calls he comes inside from the terrace, and tells you that you both have the go ahead. Shawn then makes plans to start a writing schedule.

You and Shawn have written the first verse, and the chorus and are still working on the second verse, and the outro of the song. You didn't realize just how hard writing a song can be, but it's also really rewarding to know that this is your hard work as well as Shawn's coming to life. After a few more hours of brainstorming and writing lyrics down that fit/flow with the song you both take a break and rest your minds.

"You know Shawn I never in a million years thought I'd ever be doing this. There had always been a small part of me that has wanted to pursue a career in music, but I just always told myself that I wasn't good enough or skilled enough to actually do it. So, in doing this with you, writing a song and eventually singing and recording that song, it brings those hopes and dreams of actually doing this right back to me and I'm going to be honest I don't want that feeling to ever leave." You tell him getting a little emotional about it all.

"Olivia, I don't think there is anyone better that I could've asked to write this song with me. I asked you because I heard your voice and I thought that your voice needed to be heard and shared with the world because it's so special. I'm also learning that your writing style is a little similar to mine, but it's also different in the ways that this is your first time actually writing a song and it's a breath of fresh air to me. I'm glad you told me that those feelings came back, because I'm here to help you in anyway I can to see you live your dream. Olivia you are going to make a huge impact in the music industry and they're not gonna know what hit them." Shawn looks you in the eyes as he tells you all of this making your stomach full with butterflies as you fall even deeper in love with him.
