When Alice wandered into Belle's Books she wasn't sure what to expect.
She'd hadn't been in a book store since she was a little girl. In fact, she'd only discovered that she'd enjoyed reading a few days before when her older sister,Margaret, had bribed her into reading a book in exchange for a weeks dessert.
Alice meandered around the shop for a few minutes before being approached by a girl about her own age.
The girl had light brown hair that was pulled back into a pony tail and a light blue dress.
"Can I help you?" the girl asked.
Alice was confused for a moment before realizing she must work at the shop.
"I hope so," Alice answered nervously. "I'm not really sure what I'm looking for...."
The other girl studied her for a moment before declaring "You look like an adventure kind of girl. Come with me," walking away before giving Alice a chance to answer.
Alice thought back to her adventures in Wonderland. 'I guess I am kind of an adventure girl...'
"I'm Wendy by the way. Wendy Darling." Wendy called over her shoulder without slowing down.
"Alice Kingsley."
