Elina screamed as Michelle splashed water in her direction. A loud screech escaped Michelle's throat as a spray of water came from the water gun Opal was holding. The laughs echoed through the pool house as the girls ran back and forth across the length of the room. Occasionally there were moments of silence as the girls caught their breaths.

"Hello ladies." Andrew said as he sat down at the edge of the pool, slipping his feet into the water. Opal covered her face and looked to Elina, mouthing help me when Elina and her made eye-contact.

"Hey Andrew." Michelle cooed as she crossed the pool to him. She pulled herself out of the water and sat next to him leaning towards him with her eyes squinted. "How'd the date go?" She whispered.

"I asked Opal on another date." Michelle motioned for him to continue, waving her arm in front of her. Andrew chuckled and looked across the pool to Opal who was hiding behind her long hair. "Still waiting on a answer." He whispered, sounding sad.

Michelle shook her head in frustration, "OPAL." she called. Opal pushed her hair behind her ear and looked up ashamed. "Do you need to go for a walk?"

"No--"

"Right, I agree. Hey Andrew?" Michelle looked to Andrew who perked up.

"Yeah?"

"Opal wants to go for a walk."

"I'll escort you." Andrew blurted as he stood. Michelle and Elina watched him cross the pool house to the towel rack only to slide back to Opal. He helped her out of the pool and wrapped the towel around her. "Wanna walk along the beach?"

"Sure." Opal whispered. As Opal and Andrew exited the pool house Opal gave Michelle a worried look whilst Andrew gave her a thumbs up. Michelle smiled and mouthed no problem before turning towards Elina. Elina laughed before crossing the pool to Michelle. She pulled herself up onto the side of the pool and took a deep breath.

"Can I get some advice?"

"Sure."

"You know that girl I told you about?"

"Yeah what about this mystery girl?" Michelle asked as she nudged Elina.

"I want to ask her out but I don't know how. So, I was wondering, what's the best way to ask her?" Michelle took a deep breath and looked up towards the ceiling.

"Well, it depends. Where do you want to take her? What does she like? There are many factors that go into the perfect proposal." Michelle replied.

"I want to take her star-gazing. Maybe have a picnic. Honestly I really don't know if she would enjoy those things."

"Well, who is she? Maybe I could tell you." Elina looked to Michelle, tempted to just blurt it out.

"I can't tell you." Michelle scoffed and looked away. She sighed deeply before replying.

"In that case, just bring her those chocolates."

"The ones in the heart-shaped case?" Elina asked looking to Michelle.

"Exactly! See you know what to do already." Michelle said with a chuckle, making Elina smile.

Elina felt the frown cross her face as the anxiety churned in her stomach, "What if she says no?"

"Then she's an idiot." Elina examined Michelle's face and when she saw no hint of lying she took a deep breath.

"Michelle I--"

"YEAH POOL TIME Y'ALL."

Michelle rolled her eyes at the group of students entering the pool house. She turned back to Elina and growled, "I hate people. Wanna go to the beach?"
